Loose 5/5 game played 10-handed effective stacks $1000 ... hand happens in first 10 mins of session
Hero opens UTG with AsAh $25
Folded to villain on button who quickly pops it to $100
Villain 35 year old Asian ultra LAG (idiot) but been running super great in past few months, and not ashamed to remind us of this at any time possible
Folded back to Hero who flats (in few sessions we’ve played together villain has run hero over with ridiculous fits of luck), this flat was designed to disguise hand strength, period.
Flop Qs7d9d
Hero checks
villains overbets $275 into pot of $210
Hero jams $900 over the top
Villain snap calls
Thoughts so far?

Your play isn’t awful or anything but If some dude is 3b hands like this vs you so often than it’s good to be doing a decent amount of 4b with some parts of your range

True that. The previous session I 4b him relentlessly and he just kept calling and catching huge. In this case He drew lucky ... chasing straights on flush board is this guys specialty... I hate him. As you can tell. Haha

OP,

Everyone is correct. This is a worthless hand to discuss. You made a defensible decision to trap preflop. (And if anyone disagrees with your preflop decision, you made it pretty clear that you don't care.) Then you got all your money in good on the flop in a no-brainer spot versus the Villain you describe.

What is there to discuss?

I think Reggie is the one who should eat a dick. I agree that these crybaby posts are getting old. The whole post is like "look at this thing I did which by my own description was awesome and it turned out badly." You don't want to talk about strategy. I don't know why you would post this. Actually your strategy worked perfectly and I am not being sarcastic. You can't judge a play by results. Good job. Your EV here is enormous.

The real question here is would it be better to 4 bet with the possibility of blowing the LAG off the hand.
