5/10, you open AdAs UTG to $30, SB (seems degen/strung out) calls, says something about "he might have AA, I should just call" (lol), $1,500 eff. SB has opened jammed BvB with 33 for over $1k and GII A7s v. QQ pre for $500 BTN v. BB and just seems . . . off. This pro changed seats to be to his immediate left. HU.

Flop ($70): JT4ddd and he check-raises your $40 flop bet to $200. Wwyd with the best OP and the nfd here at these stack depths in a single-raised pot against this player?

Given how deep we are, there isn’t much reason to do anything except just call. We can still get stacks in with our good hands (flushes) if we get checked to on turn. We also have position, so it’s okay to do a lot of calling with our flushes — there isn’t a risk of turn checking through.

You’re supposed to bet a lot smaller otf and mix a good bit of checking I’m pretty sure is how this spot works

Don’t seat change to the left of the “fun player”. I also used to do that sort of thing, but I’ve since realized that it’s just a very bad look. It’s bad for health of the game and -EV in the long run.

it wasn't me, it was another guy who did it. i don't do that anymore, agree it's bad look and brings nasty vibe to game.

Don't mind the larger sizing as an exploit vs the agro fish, but we would benefit from a smaller sizing on the flop. I don't think checking this specific combo is great vs the general population considering our hand can withstand a check raise, and be comfortable continuing.

We need to go for value so I like betting the flop, and I like a large sizing, perhaps even bigger than $40. When we face the check raise we can reasonably assume our hand could still be best vs this player specifically (wouldn't be surprised to see QQ played this way after he preflop heming and hawing about "I should re raise you, but Im not going to"), and if it's not the best hand still we have lots of cards that are great for us.

Maybe you can make an argument for 3Bing flop, but I don't like it considering stack depth. It's likely fine to play for all the beans with one pair vs this guy, but we're IP and we will be able to navigate the rest of the hand just fine. It also disguises the strength of our hand vs this player and he might pile worst hands on later streets if we allow him some rope.

Which casino is it?
AP call and call down most runouts. If he checks turn I suggest check back, and call river. If he checks river , based on runout we may consider value betting his Jx, unless a decent portion of his range has made 2p
