A bit of a strange request but would like perspective on this hand as player 3 though I was player 1.

5-T, 1.8K effective. 8 handed.

Player 1 - UTG +1; young male, not a reg here but image is likely solid and comfortable. Had 3-bet the 2nd most at the table

Player 2 - Button, young Asian male, good reg, buys in very deep and plays aggressive; has been seen 3 betting stuff like K7s IP and calling 3 bets wide.

Player 3 - SB, young middle eastern male, just sat down and said he folded bottom set on turn after monotone flop and aggression from both villains (TLDR; was reasonable).

Player 1 opens to 30, player 2 flats, player 3 squeeze to 125 (seems small), both flat.

Pot 385

J87

Player 3? Seems like an awful flop for him but he bets 180. Thoughts?

Player 1 raises to 625, player 2 thinks a min and folds, player 3 calls.

Pot 1635

J87T

Player 3 checks and player 1 jams 875 rather quickly. Tank-fold.

Let’s assume player 3 has an overpair with no - how do you think he played hand? I’m inclined to check this flop.

Will say what player 1 (me) had after a few comments - thanks!

I agree Player 3 should be checking his range with that flop.

And after getting raised with so <1 PSB behind, I'd jam all sets and overpairs plus big combo draws. The only hand I think it makes sense to call and then fold turn with would be a hand like a weaker FD.
