Villain - 50’s working mans man. has been at the table for about an hour. Seems very tired (early-ish morning seas) bought in for 1k already down about 500. Just from being a station and not raising. Hasn’t dragged a pot. Seat changed and topped off to 1k. Really no reads at this point.

Hero early 40’s (look like I’m 30) been playing solid. Only up about 500$ has not shown down too many hands.

1k effective

Hero mp 1. Opens to 35 with Black AA

Folds to villain otb who tries to limp but didn’t see the raise. Then makes the call
The rest fold

Flop $85
987r

Hero c-bet $50
Villain raises to 110$
Hero flats

Turn 2d $305

Hero check
Villain bets $250

Thoughts??

given reads I just check fold turn. Honestly I prob just x/c flop as well.

stationy calling players raising is bad news.

Granted I've seen lots of live players do really dumb**** and it's always entirely possible he's just massively over valueing a hand like k9, but overall I think we can fold here.

You just can't tell that much about most players after watching them for an hour. He might be a total donk but recreational players are going to play higher than their means allows and their donks they're usually LAG's there to gamble. He might be auto raising but I think a lot of both good and bad players would call behind with their strong made hands here. Weak ones because they think sets and lower straights are durable enough to slow play here, strong ones because they're exploiting their image against what you've seen from them. Maybe he's that much of a donk but if so it's hard to see why he seems this comfortable with this game. He offered 5-1 on the flop and 2-1 on the turn after a 2? He might just be exploiting his image with a draw or a pair and a draw. A paired board on the river could well put you in front of his 2-pair hands. I think probably call.
