Hero 40's been on table with both villains since the table opened about 3 hours ago....was up 1200..without a showdown...then ran into a cooler...was stuck about 300 when this hand comes up

Villain 1 - white late 40's reg/pro who is normally solid...however not playing great today stuck about 1200....but not playing tons of pots

villain 2 - asian 30's seems spewy...hasnt shown any great playing ability in the short time at table...but hasnt made any headscratcher plays either

~900 effective both villains have me covered (villain 1 has about 1200...villain 2 about 975)

Hero UTG KsJs - open limp ?
folds to V1 in HJ raises to 60 (unusual sizing for the table with a limp)
folds to V2 in SB who flats...
Hero call.

3 to flop (190)

Jd 10h 6d

V2 check
Hero check
V1 bets $100
V2 calls
Hero calls (?)

turn (490) Kh

V2 check
Hero check (?)
V1 bets $500
V2 calls
Hero ....

I am not sure i have played any part of this hand properly to this point....many could say open KJss or just fold pre.

criticize away...

hmmmm, i think this is probably fine, I would only call here pre with reads, vs very tight players this is a suspicious flat from the SB but if he isn't positionally aware i think limp/call is fine

as played i don't think we can get away, I'd just shove

Raise or fold pre.

AP spot sucks but dont think we can get away, just shove.

limp/call ap fine, but i hate limping here

I personally don't use a limping strategy but there are merits. You have like 800 to start the turn? Just jam turn.

okso i guess it wasnt butchered THAT badly

so I tanked for quite a bit of time. I block top two sets...and dont think the others play sets this way anyhow...draws seem most likely....and AQ but thats way too specific to fold...and doubt they are betting/calling with a gutter.

V1 isnt opening with 6's and V2 is raising either flop or turn with 66...

so I decide to jam after all is considered

V1 and V2 snap call the jam for ~300 more

River...8d

V2 check V1 check

I flip over KJss.......and they both nod!

reason i posted was for line check the whole hand....and to see if i made the correct jam...or did i just get lucky?

thanks everyone for the feedback...guess im not as big a fish as I sometimes think

How many players in the hand? I'm not thrilled with limping KsJs. I think it's a raise or fold. But maybe the players between you and HJ are passive and/or terrible?

Flop and turn are fine.

10 handed

TBH the plan was to limp squeeze if possible....but then the large raise and call had me second guessing....so I gambled and saw a flop

I figured that was the worst part of my play here....and yes the players in between were not good.

in fact it was a decent table the only truly great players sitting...were after the PFR'er (in the co and button in this hand)...and the entire session we never went against each other....and picked on the others

open limping KJs 10 handed is fine, good reads and good call pre imo

I trust the guys at upswing poker and a segment from this article really helps sum up open limping: Preflop Mistake #1 Limping

I'm genuinely interested in the merits of open limping in no limit and would like some logic around it.

I always just raise or fold pre first in...always. Makes my life a lot easier for such an important street.

Absent very unusual table dynamics, there is no way that limping KJs UTG is OK. And doing it with 90BBs effective seems particularly bad.

Why is KJs the hand you choose to limp squeeze with. It seems like the one of the worst possible hands to limp squeeze with.

The blinds were loose passive when raising pre.

They almost always raised wide when in the blinds without an open raise in front of them
I was looking to a spot to do this and this was the first that came up

In hind site I agree the limo was bad. No debating that I just wanted to convey my thinking.
