On the flop against a LAG I will c-bet my 2nd pair most of the time here on the flop. C/F would be atrocious IMO. C/C invites us to be bluffed on future streets, and the hand isn't so strong that I want to invite bluffs.

As played, I'd c/c the turn. Don't hate the lead though. The fact that villain calls quickly (and correctly) tells me he's got a good reason to think hero is F.O.S.

As played, the river's a tough spot, as I don't expect anyone competent to run a bluff on that kind of runout against someone showing strength 3x. I'd probably fold unless I had aforementioned villain's confidence.

....

soo... tell me what part of the above is a bad analysis.

Just got back from surf trip to Cabo. Scored it good which was awesome since the day we left there was a hurricane heading there.

OK first problem is that you are misreading the whole hand. I believe since you said you would cbet your pair and c/f would be atrocious etc you are not realizing that we have the button and we have position for the hand. Maybe try it again with that in mind?

Ok i'm outted as a pretty bad player which is why I'm asking you to throw me a bone and explain where my conclusions are going wrong

Let me try this again:
  • On the flop against a LAG I will c-bet my 2nd pair most of the time here, since I think I'm ahead and think I can get value from weaker pairs
  • Calling or folding the flop raise both are good, reads dependent. I fully expect a LAG to test me with air or a draw on a flop like this.
  • As played, I'd likely fold the turn. Don't hate the call though. The fact that villain calls quickly (and correctly) tells me he's got a good reason to think hero is F.O.S.
  • As played, the river's a tough spot, as I don't expect anyone competent to run a bluff on that kind of runout against someone who has called a checkraise + turn bet. I'd probably fold unless I had aforementioned villain's confidence.
