Ok, this one is kind of fun/insane so I thought you might enjoy telling me I'm an idiot
V1: 24 yr/old white guy on H's direct right. Very loose preflop. Maybe watched too much TV poker and doesn't know how/why to apply things he's seen, says he's played in some raked home games, but I assume not many times at the casino. Made a bunch of weird plays/reads, esp. donk betting, but does roughly understand hand values. Been running hot and has 400-500
Been open limping a lot (and calling), open raising to 7 with okish hands and open raising to 12 with premium hands. Did once open limp AA in a straddle pot and then when SB raised to 25 he snap made it 55, everyone folded and he showed.
Another hand: V1 limps; H raises to 12; 3-4 ways to J65dd flop; x; x; x; H cbets 15 with Ad*x; blind calls; V1 calls; Turn: J656; x; V1 fires 40; H thinks this is FoS but blind is here too so folds; blind calls; River J656 Q; x; bet 65; call; V1 shows Kd8d for air blocking straight draws and blind shows random Jx. V1 is surprised that he got called light and says he had a big draw.
V2: Old guy probably been playing 1-2 for 10+ years, limps/calls too wide (esp. pre.) but if he wants to pile money in he's probably got it. You've played with this guy by another name. Has 325ish
H: Hard to tell what reads people have and how much attn. they are paying. H hasn't shown down a lot of hands, but folds a lot and bets a lot when playing. 3betting more than rest of table combined and it's not close. Did 3bet AKs to 65 from blinds and then folded when the initial PFR snap shipped 300. Was up to ~475 but losing the last hour or two and only has 305 now.
V1 is aware enough that he's commented on how much H is raising him.
Maybe H is a bit tilted from "losing 150", who knows self awareness is hard.
On to the Friday night big screen:
8 or 9 handed
V1 opens to 7 UTG
H looks at T
9
and 3bets to 20 UTG+1
Folds to V2 in BB who cold calls
V1 calls
I mean ... I had a few reasons/plans, but BB cold calling wasn't one of them.
Pot: 61
Flop: A
Tx7
V2 checks
V1 bets 40
H calls quickly
V2 calls quickly
Again, this donk would feel like a bluff very often anyway but even more so from V1, T9s with all the backdoors seems like a better call than KK but I'd probably snap call KK. Even if V1 magically has like A8 I think we can still win anyway without improving.
FWIW H is pretty sure he doesn't have a raising range here.
Obviously all of those plans continue to go great when V2 overcalls flop, so we probably need to hit something.
Pot: 181
Turn: A
Tx7
9
V2 checks
V1 checks
H thinks enough to do some math for the pot size and bets 120
V2 calls fairly quickly.
V1 folds
H thinks lolz, I haz 2 pair in a 3bet pot (only really worried about 3 combos of 77 and 2 combos of ATs)
Pot: 421
River: A
Tx7
9
2x
V2 checks
H has exactly 125 behind and while it might be amusing to check and win at showdown, H doesn't think it's worth 125 if V2 can't fold AJ/AQ or whatever so announces 125.
