Eff stacks in this hand are around 100bb and we're playing against pretty unknown players. The line check, I suppose, is how we should play his hand vs unknowns.

EP raise to $12, 1 call in between. Fold to us and we look at QdJd. All 3 options are open, folding is eliminated. I chose to call since I don't expect any 3 bets from behind, I also realize that if I call I'm going to bring in a few others from Lp/blinds. 2 other call behind from lp and the small blind comes in as well. Again, not much read on anyone.

Flop ($70): Qh8h4s
Checks to us, hero $50, fold to SB, call, all else fold. This is the very first hand V is playing since sitting down about 10 minutes ago. Younger Asian, bought in for the max.

Turn($170): 4h
Check, hero checks back. The obvious draw comes in, his range seems mostly consistent of FDs, Qx to me. Expecting a raise on the flop from Q8, random Q4, sets. Doubt he flats with QQ+ pre. Am I assigning too narrow of a range thinking V has a made Flush and Qx given how the flop action went? At this point I'm looking for show down hence the check back

River ($170): 2d
V ships, hero fold.

Thoughts?

I think our sizing OTF is a bit much. I like $40. I get that you want to charge draws, but considering we could be outkicked, it's easy to fold out everything we beat. Other than that, pretty standard.

I think this is fine. I don't mind the limp pre knowing what you know. This is a nice hand multi-way. I'd rather have later position, but still OK. Flop is fine, but I might have gone $40. I think you the same result. Turn is OK against someone you don't know and with stack sizes.

River is a fold w/o more info.

Yea, I think $40 does the same job as $50 in this instance. $50 might be better with AQ/KQ to get value from worst.

For sure. I thought it was a fine fold, just wanted to confirm the line.

Thanks
