I hope you get someone who breaks his legs and then he pays up
I have someone who will collect for half. I'm undecided if I will go that route. There is a lot to it. Thanks for the thought though.

WHERE IS THE Save the Princess stuff at Pokerrags?

Think retro, Mario-inspired, 8-bit style, a princess trapped in a tower of poker chips. GOgoGO.
I know man. You are exactly right. Seriously, if any of you are designers and want a side project to work on/gamble on, or you know anyone who does, let me know. If I had a good designer that is a Printful expert and lives in Socal or Vegas, the company would launch like a rocket imo.

Sooooo many good concepts, soooo hard for someone like myself to make them a reality using people from other countries who have no idea wtf I'm talking about when I drop a poker reference.

People seem to be feeling the Save The Princess vibe. Many people message me that they are trying to save their own Princess and that my pod helps. No doubt that would be a shirt that feels good to wear (if that makes sense).

TY.

Not sure how to rate pods on Google Play but am happy to give a top rating if someone can tell me how.

Instead of listening to a professional journalist talk about a complicated murder case I listened to a dude talk about 3rd grade girls basketball for an hour. And it was great.

Since I care about 3rd grade girls basketball exactly 0.0, there is literally no other subject on earth I could care less about. But I thought it was one of the best podcast episodes Iíve heard. I used to coach youth sports for many years, so I connect with that part. I have nieces in youth sports so I know what itís like to care about a 9th grade girls waterpolo game for no real reason. I could also connect with the setting, which while it seemed like it might be a gym- was actually the Abyss. THATís captivating storytelling.

A captivating storyteller creates footholds of common ground for the listener that compel him or her to keep climbing. You want to get to the top. You want to see the vista.

So ya, Serial is a good podcast. But Sessions is better.
This post moved me. Thanks, man. I'm still learning the pod game (I'm not even a year in yet and I do everything myself/have no editing or real production) but I have long had a strong talking game lol. I hope to deliver much better content over time--especially when my life slows down a little. For now though, I'm really glad y'all like the raw, spew AF look into my journey.

Good ****.

great point on how pros don't have common sense
If an exploitable reg is good for the game bc the whale wants to play with them you don't go after them. it seems simple but most dont get it.

just like regs get into 3 betting wars with each other when the game as a few vips who will play 90 percent of their hands for a single raise but won't cold call 3 bets often.
99% of the poker population still think playing the hand in front of you in the most +EV/balanced/GTO way possible is what makes a good poker player. I try to not even be baffled by it anymore.

hi weirdos
Sometimes (like the 3-part spew festival ep 20 that will publish tmrw) I do them on no sleep, with very little brain activity going on. These episodes must serve a purpose as well. And... many have trouble falling asleep!

1.5 seems tweeky to me lol. As they say though, to each weirdo their own.

What is the contribution that poker players provide?

2) Regardless of their contribution to society, Do poker players, on average, have better ethical and moral standards than those in other professions. Every profession, regardless of their contribution to society, has a general moral compass. Doctors are generally viewed positively on the ethics scale. Lawyers, on the other hand, are viewed much more negatively. As the saying goes...“Honor among thieves”.
I personally have no interest in judging careers' respectability (not saying you guys can't/shouldn't though ofc). I'm way more focused on a) Is it healthy? b) Will it bring fulfillment?

Poker--without something else like maintaining a never-ending thread or doing a spewy AF podcast about the grind--gets a "no ****ing way" to both of those extremely important questions imo/e.

Thanks. I truly believe I am a changed man after basically hitting rock bottom in 2017, having a bunch of terrible repressed childhood memories come up at that time, working through them, and then finding understanding and forgiveness for everyone involved (including/especially myself).

So when I tell super degen stories from before I hit the bottom/had any insight into my own ****, it makes the new, much less self-destructive (but still a degen until the end obv) version of me feel a little bit gross.

But then after that, I feel a bit cleansed.

So yeah, those will always be mixed in I'm sure.

This stretch of runbad I have been going through for almost 12 months has been by far the most trying of my career. You are probably helping way more people than you can ever realize. I have a really good mental game, I can take a lot. But everyone hits their breaking point at some point. When you first posted about the abyss, I was nowhere near it, and I didn't appreciate it. I appreciate it now, I can assure you of that. I just bought your book and gave you a review for your podcast. Keep fighting the good fight, your resilience is inspiring
Thanks for the support. Sorry to hear God has sent you down as well. Sometimes I feel like a Debbie Downer for pretty much being the only one dropping content that isn't, "Hey, check out my heater, I'm the best, eat healthy, exercise, study and think positive and this **** is easy peezy."

^^^ people disappear though. And they do nothing to make the masses feel less alone during hard times... Glad my spew is at least helping a little.

It means so much to me that you guys actually prefer the non-poker content. That means I can pod even after I gtfo of poker. And it just makes me feel really good on some human level that I can't quite articulate in my current sleep deprived state.

I have no idea either lol. And now I'm wondering if there is something wrong with how I set up the show because when you search "poker" on iTunes right now my poker pod, with lots and lots of listens and great reviews, doesn't show up. And yet, my other pod that is not poker, is considerably less popular (only because it's ahead of it's time imo) with way less listens and reviews, does show up.

Hmmmmmmmm....

Thanks for all the support. A truck load of spew will be dropped in the next 24 hours. I'll be back itt in about a week.

A 50+ year old woman with her (I assume) husband laugh-yelled "straddle this!" and pointed at her crotch as I walked toward a Buffalo Wild Wings wearing the "Straddle?" shirt once. Haven't worn the shirt in public since.

I also wasn't going to the Buffalo Wild Wings, I was going to the Korean BBQ next door.
