Hero $1000ish - down $800, because I keep whiffing flops and my KK got cracked by AT. Can't seem to get much going

Villain $1500 - Asian lady - who is pretty active. She has been there for days and can some how still function. ( I have no idea how people do this ) I've seen her run some insane plays before but there is little 4betting that has been going on in my games.

Straddle is on and Villain opens to $15 in HI jack - and dealer says that there is a straddle so the raise will be $20. She says she didn't know the straddle and wants to make it $30 but is forced to make it $20.

1 caller in CO

I 3bet $80 with AKon the BTN - I think I should of gone $100 but $80 is fine as well.

She goes $280 after some hesitation.

Is it better to call and see a flop - or rip it in pre? I don't think I want to be folding the top of my range here. I rarely see people 4bet much at 2/5 so i'm not sure what is the best way to proceed. I have folded AKo before deep but I don't really like folding a suited AK.

Dealer's wrong, should be able to open to $15 over the straddle...

As played, generally getting AK in pre here is going to be very bad news most of the time. Fact of the matter is that Asian ladies simply don't 4bet light very often if ever. I think all options are fine tbh but I'd avoid sticking 100bb in pre here in a spot we're boned so very often... If we've seen her bluff **** like A5s here or go with JJ then ofc we can stuff it, just seems so unlikely based on this player profile is all.

Results

Spoiler:
She ended up having pocket 88. Not sure why she wouldn't just flat the 3bet. Seems much better than 4betting imo

I end up getting stacked on a Qd8c4dTs6h run out.

^not true in the US at least - straddle acts as a third blind and min-open is 2x straddle

jam pre is good.

going to guess you are running bad if pre is anything other than a get in. we need to see 5 and we shouldn't underestimate the amount of fold equity we have vs villain described (it seems counter intuitive, but we've all seen horrific folds pre in llsnl)

i'd suggest runnin better homie, we've all been there.

Ahh you're right. Sorry, straddle fish here - our "straddles" here in Brisbane are "blind bets" - meaning you can straddle but it's not live. Super spastic indeed.
