I know that if you purchase pt3 that you are allowed to use it on two computers, such as a desktop and a laptop. My question is if my laptop is a mac and my desktop is a pc will i still be able to make one purchase? or is the mac version separate from the pc one?

Just want to assure you, you have made the right choice in software for your given situation. I used PT3 on my macbook running snow leopard and my desktop running windows 7 and I am very pleased with the product. It works flawlessly on both and I am happy to see many updated versions coming out giving us new and more efficient options and settings. The transfer of hands from my laptop to my desktop is also a breeze. Thanks poker tracker for making a mac compatible poker tracking software!

While I have not set up pt3 on my desktop yet, there will be a time for me to do this. Do you have any advice, I am really not really a computer person, so I am pretty sure I will have a hard time with this.

Its very simple all you need to do is find where your processed hand histories are located and copy and paste them (they should be text files) into a folder on a flash drive. From there put it into your desktop go to manual import and click import from directory, find the folder and click start. It will then transfer all your hand histories and run housekeeping, as soon as that is over with your database will be updated with all your hands from your laptop.
