I downloaded the free trial, and when I connect using the default username, pass port etc. It says unable to connect to this database please check configuration.

I have tried reinstalling it btw but didnt work. Can anyone help?

What version of PT3 did you install?
Did it install postgres for you?
What operating system do you have?

I'm on Vista.

I tried installing PostgreSQL again and the problem is i do not know what the password is

I tried dbpass it says this is wrong and i have no clue what the password would be. I can't remember installing Postgre it before i got the PT3 free trial. Is there amything i can do to find out the password?

Try svcPASS83. If that doesn't work, press Start, type cmd and hit enter, at the prompt type net user postgres /delete and hit enter, then you should be able to install again with whatever password you'd like for that section (it'll need to recreate the user account).
