I've heard that BB in poker tracker is "big bet" not "big blind". The hearsay continues: Poker Tracker was originally created for limit poker and the big bet lin limit holdem (used in later betting rounds) is usually twice the big blind.

Is that correct folks? Any limit player want to chime in?

That is correct. Big bet traditionally = 2 big blinds.

so in all of the poker tracker software when it uses BB does it actually mean 2xBB?

Yes, that's right.
In PT2 you can check an option (on the Preferences tab, IIRC) so that big blinds is used for NL & PL.
This option has not yet been added to PT3, but it will be.

Anyone know if this setting has been integrated into PokerTracker 3?

Not yet, no.
You can create custom stats to display big blinds instead of big bets if you prefer.
