NEW: PokerTracker 3 Holdem - Micro Stakes edition NEW: PokerTracker 3 Holdem - Micro Stakes edition

08-04-2009 , 11:18 PM
We are proud to announce the release of the PokerTracker 3 Holdem - Micro Stakes edition.

We understand that some Micro Stakes players cannot afford the full version of PT3 for $89.99 and are missing out on the most valuable online poker tool. Therefore, we have decided to release a Micro Stakes edition on a limited trial run to gauge interest levels. This new Micro Stakes edition provides you with all of the same great features as the full version except at a much lower price of $44.99 USD. The only restrictions are that it is limited to the following (Micro) stakes and below:
  • No-Limit: $0.10/$0.25
  • Limit: $0.25/$0.50
  • Tourney/SnG: $11 Buyin
Play like a professional with PokerTracker 3 Holdem Micro Stakes edition and move up limits faster. As you graduate from Micro Stakes, you can then upgrade the Micro Stakes edition to the full version of PokerTracker 3 for a seamless transition to those higher limits.

Since this is a limited trial run, there are no guarantees that this offer or product will last so act quickly and purchase PokerTracker 3 Holdem - Micro Stakes today!

Awesome! I wish this offer was available when I bought PT3. I'm playing 50NL now and would need the full edition but when I was playing 5NL, the $90 price tag did make me pause for a while and I would have jumped at the $45 offer then.

If I purchased the full version can I get a refund if that's all I play (the micros?)thanks ....

I don't believe that is possible.

It is if hero has a time machine.

If hero has a time machine, hero does not need PT3 at all . . .

so the upgrade will cost 45$ as well?

The upgrade from micro stakes to the full version costs $49.99 (you can see this on the purchase page by selecting Micro Stakes from the drop down in the upgrade section).

I'm getting a little off topic here but about the demo version / trial period: When I tried PT3 back during the beta (summer of 2008), the product was 100% functional and simply had a restriction of a 60 day limit for the trial period (which kept getting extended).

Does the current version have some other restrictions? My daughter just got into poker and I had her get the PT3 trial and she said it sort of "turns off" after 1 hour of use. I tried a bit of googling but didn't easily see the answer to my question about this.

End of story: I bought her the microstakes license to avoid having to worry about this trial period weirdness. Technically, I could have let her use my license (second computer et cetera) but this would not have violated the spirit (and possibly the letter) of the PT3 license. Hopefully she will remain as interested in poker as she currently seems to be, in which case it will have been money well spent

The trial conditions have not changed to my knowledge.

If your daughter continues to experience troubles like these, please encourage her to submit a bug report so that we can figure out what's going on and get the issue fixed for her.

Strange. Well, now any problems she experiences will be official product problems and not trial version problems.

She mentioned some popup window saying something about "1 hour limit" or some such. Perhaps there is a popup about observed tables and she confused that with whether or not hands that she actually plays are imported?

I didn't get to observe any of said weirdness first hand.

I suspect she's talking about the 30 observed hand import restriction at PokerStars which mentions "30 minutes" (no more observed hands will be imported until 30 minutes have passed and you have restarted PT3). This does not affect played hands at all.

You might want to have her double check that her hand histories are saving if she's playing at PokerStars (Options --> Instant Hand History ...); if they aren't, that sort of thing can happen.

Just curious, I was about to buy holdem manager as i only play nl5 at the minute and i have just noticed this mirco version of poker tracker- which i prefered during the trail versions. the biggest difference i noticed was the hud on holdem manager worked on all tables, if i buy this mirco stakes version of poker tracker will the hud work for all tables or is this another add on fee....
which would kinda make me want to get hodem manager coz it would make pt3 more $$
cheers

The HUD will work on all tables at the supported limits (note: the HUD won't work at tournament tables in a few sites where the table windows aren't uniquely identified, but this isn't a restriction of the micro-stakes version - Supported sites).
I doubt that it will work on higher limits since those hands won't be being imported.

Yes, that is correct. You will receive both the tracker and HUD.

PAH only works with the older version of PokerTracker v2. It also works with the current version of PokerTracker Omaha until we are able to release PT3-Omaha at which point PT3-Omaha will include the HUD as well.

Best regards,

Derek

Does pokertracker work on Bodog and Ultimate Bet?
08-13-2009 , 03:28 AM
Ultimate Bet is already supported and Bodog is currently being alpha tested and will be in the next Beta release. (We don't have a date for this yet, it depends how testing goes and on the other features being added.)

Ok OK
Does this thing really make your game that much better???
Give me the details
What does it do and how does it make you a better player???

I certainly thinks so, though admittedly I'm a bit biased.

This post contains links to classic information on using your PT stats to improve your game.
