I'm using PT3 and postgres databases

Is it better to create a new database every so often (for performance)?

I have noticed that postgres is using a ton of CPU memory in the task manager.

I have noticed that it takes forever to cluster large DBs.

Is the best strategy to have 1 per level or 1 DB/500,000 hands (made up number)?

Sorry if it has been asked before the search I ran returned way too many results.

Most people that I'm aware of that do heavy datamining use one database for their play and create new databases for datamined hands every so often. Exactly how often will depend on your computer, every million or two hands should be fine, especially since once you decide you no longer will be adding to the old database, you won't need to run housekeeping on it.
