My data base has become so large it just takes forever to load up ie Start PT.
I would like to make another-or 2. To make PT more friendley.
My questions are as follows.
1. When I manually import do observed vs played hands go to the appropriate database?
2. How can I import into mulitple databases? IE played hands into 2 databases, observed into another?
3. If starting new database and using multiple databases for the HUD will player notes be shown if not in active database?
4. Can I export tourneys that I have played in w/o others, or just the tables that I sat on?
5. When exporting tourneys from the database are the results also exported?

More to come probally. I have not found answers to these in the data provided or I would not be asking. Hope I have searched in right places and I am not too much a PITA.

Thanks

No, manually imported hands always go into the current active database.

On the Auto Import -> Preferences tab you can choose what database you want played and observed hands imported into. As stated above, this doesn't apply to manual imports though.

Player notes are shown for all databases in use; you can set a database to be used by the HUD on the Hud Options tab.

You can export any tournament you have in the PT3 database.

I believe they should be.

And don't worry about asking too many questions; that's what I'm here for

Clarification: I would like to import observed hands into 1 data base and Played hands into 2 databases. Is this possible w/o manually importing into the 2nd DB??
Also If I have more than 1 DB being used by the HUD how would the HUD be effected if there are duplicate hands-ie the same hands in 2 databases

Yes you can export any tournament you have in the PT3 database.
Clarification:
I would like to export only the hands or tables that I was in-on seperate from the hands-tables that were only observed as I did not seperate them for the past year.
I can see no filter in the tournament section for this.

That's because there is no way to do that currently. However if you do what I said earlier you can create a database with just your hands, then you can export the hands in that database.

It's a bit convoluted but it would work.

PT3 can automatically split played and observed hands, more than that and you'd have to do manual imports.

If you have a specific hand in two databases, the data from that hand will be counted twice; the checks to avoid such things are so cumbersome that they aren't really worth it.

Also, I have done tests that show that using 2 databases vs 1 database in the HUD does not cause significant changes in overall performance.
