My HUD always displayed the stats for every player and if I clicked on those stats a pop up would open with many more stats.

Now the HUD is displaying both things at the same time on all the players at the table clogging up the table and I can't see a thing.

No matter what HUD configuration I use the same thing keeps happening.

I have a screenshot in case my explanation sucks but I don't know how to post it.

I take it you are talking about when you click on the HUD stat and the window comes up with the other detailed stats displayed, and you can't close it? If that is it just simply click on the players name at the top of that window and it will close it.

I think what happened here is that he changed the Default Popup group to "display on table for everyone" instead of "for popup use only".

See the Tutorial: Managing HUD Groups for the details, but the short answer is: Configure --> Configure HUD, choose the popup group, set it to For Popup Use Only, then go to the General Stats group and set it to use the other group as its popup.
