No filters (1m hands): 25 seconds for graph, 2:45 for the players list, and the app is frozen the whole time.

Filter for last 2 weeks (70k hands): 3 seconds for players list, 10 seconds for graph.

So it's definitely not an issue as long as the filter range is small. It's only for the longer periods where it becomes difficult to do any kind of serious review because every slight filter change takes so long.

This is right after a full db housekeeping too.

Can you elaborate on that? I only did the standard install with PT3. Is there a good article somewhere on tweaking the Postgres settings for PT3? I couldn't find anything in the PT docs :/

The app should not be frozen during the graphs or players list.

This is a really good post given I am in the market for a new desktop. PT3 runs like crap on my current 5 year old PC . Problem is I have never been too much into computers so I do not understand all the terminolgy. If you were buying the 21in Imac -what upgrades other than 4 to 8mb memory would use get ?

The 7200rpm hard drive. Apple still loves to ship slow hard drives in their default configurations.
