Error message when connecting to postgres

Everytime i login in poker tracker it asks me for my postgres server information . I type in the password but then it keeps giving me the message

unable to connect to this database . Please check the configuration

Due to the fact i know nothing about computers i havent a clue what it is on about . Need help on the matter and how i can go about solving it

The default password is dbpass.
If that doesn't work, you can remove the need for PostgreSQL passwords: How To: Remove PostgreSQL Password

This can also be a firewall issue so please read our Firewall Guide.

If you still can't get it working please report your problem.
