Just switched from a pc to a mac. When I go to backup the database on the pc so I can transfer my files over, I get a message that you must have the purchase version to backup the files. I am only 1/4th of the way through the trial and was hoping that could be continued.....

Any ideas or am i asking the impossible?

How many hands had you imported into the database in question?

I am back at my office (home for lunch), but I believe somewhere in the neighborhood of 9k....maybe a few more. A couple tourneys as well by default, although I couldn't care less if they made it or not....If I need to purchase I can, but don't want to lose a license on the laptop that will never be used again in a week......

If you purchase a PT3 license it's valid for use on up to two machines that you own and operate at once, and if you uninstall from one machine that license is freed up for use elsewhere - so having it installed on one machine for a week certainly doesn't invalidate your license further.

But for only 9k hands it's probably easiest to just move the hands from C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\Processed onto a flash drive and copy them to your mac and then use the Manual Import function (you'll want Import From Directory) and reimporting them. For that amount of volume it'll only take a couple of minutes to reimport all of the hands anyway.

I will give this a shot and see if I can get it to work. Is there an easy way to explain how to copy the files from the directory onto the flash drive? I realize how stupid that sounds, but I am a computer idiot.....I'm assuming I will want to reimport from the flash drive as well?

You can just drag and drop the files onto the flash drive.
Drag them off again to a new folder on your other computer and then do a Manual Import.

This worked perfectly. Thank you!!!
