This player turned out to be a habitual donker, but when this hand came up it was the first time i had seen it. We were about ten hands in. I dont think that were any tough decisions in this hand, but how should the river have gone if villian continued to bet. i fold to this particular card but are there pairs/blanks that should be calls? (PS first posted hand ever, you can prob look forward to alot of very basic questions from me if you'ra all willing to help)

I call the river if he donks again. I like to find out what these guys are donking with, especially early in the match. I find that often these guys don't know what to do with a hand like AJ on a board like that...they don't feel that their hand is good enough for a check raise and don't like calling either, so they go for the donk. Definite call down imo.

i'm with nate, i think it is probably -ev to call this river, but i think it turns it in to +ev with the difference in losing because the information on how and why he donks is very important to figure out early on.

Also, as for posting hands, only post the information available during the hand if you are looking for an honest answer, so if you didn't know he donked yet then don't give us that either, just a good pointer i learned way back when. Nice to have you on the forums.

I always call these bets down.
