I'm sure high flop donking will be part of one of innumerable NE strategies.

Actually, I was only half kidding when I posted this. I haven't studied game theory since my undergrad days and haven't looked at the Alberta stuff, but I wouldn't be surprised if donking was part of a GTO strategy.

Re: HUHU NC/LC Thread for March

Back to those neverwin hands.
Have a question.

Are those gut shots with no SD value and questionable, to say the least, pair outs such a hot property?

Odds are not there. Aggression to bust equity a bit to make up for odds deficit is not there.
What is there? Hope?

Any thoughts?

Re: HUHU NC/LC Thread for March

After 50k hands your standard deviation is going to be about 1 BB/100. So if you have a winrate of say 2 BB/100 hands, you can be reasonably sure that you're a winning player; you're going to be a losing player like 2% of the time ignoring any Bayesian analysis.

After 200,000 hands your standard deviation is going to be .5 BB/100, so if you have a winrate of 2 BB/100 you're four standard deviations away from being a losing player, making it extremely unlikely that you are a losing player.

If it's not a level or a joke then the answer is

absolutely not

If you are essentially sure that you play in never changing inviroment, then yes.
Like, for example, composition of the deck of cards never changes so all the rules that govern AA dealt, sets hit on a flop and river flushes work.
You can pretty much predict and check distribution very accurately.

Now, start playing the game with 52 cards taken from 2 shuffled decks.
How do you think your distribution prediction will be working out?

I know its a bit extreme, but for illustration purpose should work.

Yea I railed that match for a few minutes out of curiosity.

With no provocation, you made fun of him as soon as he sat down, typing something like "so you're playing 3-6 now? Wow, way to go" and then as soon as he sat out out, you again made fun of him for being basically busted.

You are a helluva guy.

lol at copoka making fun of someone for playing 3/6 when HE is playing 3/6. It's like that scene in Pulp Fiction where Jules and Vincent put on Tarantino's clothes and Tarantino starts making fun of the way they look. "They're you're ****ing clothes..."

For what reason would neverwin not deserve to be made fun of? Hes a complete degenerate and a very dishonest one at that.

I had Scott Fischman sit with me the other day. Played really "sub optimally" to put it nicely but crushed me anyway.

Never, at any time, did I feel the uncontrollable desire to make fun of him.

Tough but fair. I know Dustin fairly well and for sure he is a degenerate and has done a few questionable things but he has always made good on his debts when he has the oppurtunity to. The Kobe thing is def shady but I am pretty sure he will pay Kobe. When? I dunno but when he makes scores he pays his debts. But that is def one lend/borrow that should have never happened. Kobe should have never sent him 10k and he should have never asked knowing he couldnt pay back.

You don't need to solve LHE to deduce that donking can be part of a GTO strategy.

If some of you play other games... This drying up of the games is something particular to LHE or is it happening in NL HU or others as well?
