There definitely was some spew though, and the 15 minutes where Villain would raise with weak pairs just to induce rebluffs were kinda fun. Can't really be recreated by single HHs though, sorry.

On a different note I came back a few hours later and I wasn't the one on tilt anymore :

Pre Flop: (1.5 SB) Hero is BTN/SB with A T
Hero raises, BB calls

Flop: (4 SB) K 7 3 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls

Turn: (3 BB) 8 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, BB caps!, Hero calls

River: (11 BB) 2 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, BB folds

Had to check a few times to make sure no straight flush was out there

Why is chip dumping against the rules?

Good question, maybe it's not. That makes the idea even more awesome.

One reason is that it's an easy way to launder money or process stolen funds. Stolen credit card > depo > chip dump to clean account > cashout. Forcing people to use p2p transfers keeps the money on record, may be disabled or limited on new accounts, the transfer might have to be verified, and it's easier to track and freeze the funds and reclaim it.

Re: HUHU NC/LC Thread for March

meh what i dont get about that thread is:

- what he was asking for has clearly happened. the noob helping posts stopped ages ago. hasn't been a graph thread in 3, 4 months? there are more threads in this forum from NL players than HU limit players. wolfram's post history is a prime example. or read the "expected WR" thread. i probably only check outside this thread once or twice a week and rarely respond, and it's usually just higher level discussion to regulars, no "how to get started" posts. There's no up to date FAQ, and very few new posters come through here.

- that thread will have the absolute reverse effect and it seems cracy to me it was posted publically. I won't quote it in hopes that thread is deleted but it was pretty crazy how ironic that thread was getting about halfway down.

Re: HUHU NC/LC Thread for March

on another subject

how do you all classify low, midstakes and high stakes

i've always assumed like 8/16 and 10/20 and maybe 15/30 was "midstakes" and above was "high stakes". 5/10 was borderline and below was low stakes. was watching the old bryce vids and it seems anything below like 100/200 he calls low stakes.

I consider small stakes until 5/10
medium stakes are 10/20-30/60
high stakes start from 50/100
ultra-high stakes are 300/600+

or something similar

Lol obv it's pretty hard to take 50 or 30 seriously once you've made millions at 1k/2k. It all depends on your perspective.

Here's the classification system I've been using the last couple of years:

high stakes: the upper end of the stakes I'm currently playing
midstakes: the lower end of the stakes I'm currently playing
nosebleeds: anything I'm not rolled for
small stakes: where I would drop down to if I were to lose a bunch
micro stakes: what I never want to have to play again
nano stakes: stakes I don't even remember playing

Re: HUHU NC/LC Thread for March

ha there's a lot of sense in that, i am the same but i consider things the same way but one notch down.

it's made extra tricky because sites generally classify either 10/20+ as "high stakes" or even 5/10+.

it depends on the sites' traffic , for the small sites, any games higher than 5/10 going is high stakes.

Re: HUHU NC/LC Thread for March

Isn't is cool to get a free lecture from a poker professor (after I sit out, having figured out that he's not bad enough - he decides to reinforce my judgment)

Jimknopf17: come on fish
armor32: I am done.
armor32: what makes you think I am a fish ?
Jimknopf17: you have no edge lucky guy
Jimknopf17: you ranges are very polarised
armor32: well
armor32: I just won some 50 bucks off you
Jimknopf17: 23 hands
armor32: that looks like an edge to me
Jimknopf17: wow great sample size
armor32: you seem to be very smart person
armor32: now I am really afraid to play more
Jimknopf17: what
Jimknopf17: play
Jimknopf17: 100 hand
Jimknopf17: and you loose
armor32: of course. This is why I am not interested to play
armor32: Please don't sit with me any more, ok
