multitabling nlhu is easier than multitabling lhu (less action and decisions)
And durrrr playing 6 tables against same opponents.

There are some guys play 3 lhu tables vs 3 different players. But 4+ is impossible imo.

i would be comfortable playing 6 tables of 3/6 against 1 opponent on stars. I don't think I would play great but I would likely play better than many opponents to have an edge. I have done 4 tables vs 1 guy for a 1-hour period ~900 hands. I reviewed the session and was pretty please with my error rate (3 hands misplayed i think) compared to my opponent (who was solid HU but no good multitabling - he misread action and donked, or 3bet/checked on many occasions). Also it would be a kind of fun challenge.

Against multiple opponents i struggle with 3.

If anyone is interested in say a 1k hand freezeout at 6 tables at 3/6 let me know
03-07-2010 , 04:35 PM
yeah, i think i could multitable against the same opponent

but different opponents seems more difficult. personally i like to notice the momentum of the game and if my opponent is switching strategies all of the sudden. many fish start to donk the flop a lot all of the sudden when they run bad.

For sure. No doubt every table you add, the lower your expectation, and there's probably a sig. drop from me going 1 to 2 tables. It's all an hourly rate thing.

...villain quietly busts and leaves. Logic can't win em all

Also, what do we do here? Typical standard spot vs your typical villain, I fold straight up 95% assuming villain's calling down any made hand and a T or A even if this is folded on river if they miss. I think a clear example why position is king (so to speak) HU. Or can any maths types advise otherwise

Hero Ax, bb
Villain bets pf, 1 call.
Flop JQK
Hero checks, villain bets..

I look at the turn cbet percentage, because some opponents will always barrel, but others will give up on the turn assuming you have something on that flop and you can win with ace high.

i just played a 90/70/44 3bet 35 at 2/4. normally i would quit this kind of opponents at 2/4. but he seemed to have some big leaks postflop

although he 3bet a lot preflop, he would check back turn and river a lot
he would give up very often versus aggression postflop, although showing down Ahi very often
if I 3! preflop, he would be very fit or fold postflop

the adjustments i started making were
- 3betting a lot more and even capping very light. with success
- peel flop light hoping to see river for cheap
- every time i was ip and he checked to me, i would valuebet even bottom pair since his hand was most likely a face up Ahi
- give him more credit when he did bet turn
- fold the bottom of my range otb

after ~60 hands he started barreling turn a lot and even capping preflop with A6o for example
he would also be very aggro with draws

- i would 3! less, but still cap a bit light since i would have initiative
- i would maybe cbet less
- i would peel less on the flop
