Wynn vs Encore Wynn vs Encore

Today I found what seems to me like a really great deal (1540$, including flight to and fro from Scandiland, for two weeks at Wynn, in Resort Room), so I jumped on it and booked.

Then I now find that for only 50 bucks more (not a night, the whole stay, for clarification) I can get the same package at Encore Resort Suite King - so, my question is if this a no brainer cancel Wynn and book Encore instead type of deal? Also I read somewhere when I googled this question that Encore is more for the young crowd (a notion someone else then denied so i dunno) - is this true?

Well, prolly a silly question but just want to make sure, any replies much appreciated.

You should probably just stick with Wynn. Encore is just a little more out of the way but it's basically the same hotel.

Encore is the newer, better, cleaner hotel. The casino is not as busy as Wynn, but who cares, the rooms are much better, and Wynn casino is only a couple of minutes away. Definitely stay at Encore, and I am sure you can change your reservation. By the way, it is very likely that your reservation will be upgraded to Encore upon check-in anyway.

I just got back from Encore. It started to become a hassle to walk all over the place. I feel like I should have stayed at the Wynn. The Encore is empty compared to Wynn and is much more smokey for some reason.

Wynn 100 pct.

- Shorter walks
- Better views
- Rooms are still very, very nice even if they're 5 yrs old

stayed at wynn a few times, then tried Encore,, never again.. room is not that much nicer, it's the same size but with a wall in the middle to make it seem like a suite, so smaller IMO... walk is just ridiculous to go to Wynn where all the action is, pool sux bad comapred to Wynn pool, the Wynn rooms are older but not more classy.. bathrooms same..Wynn Food better too...cheapest suntan lotion i found at Encore was like 30 bucks,serious..... Wynn 100%

I have stayed at both, and personally I prefer the Wynn.

The Encore rooms may be verrry marginally better (newer, better television, slightly more stylish - they do suffer from poor ventelation design, and you get hot and cold spots during the summer), but the Wynn's rooms are still very nice, and the location is more convenient. It is a much longer walk to the poker room from the Encore, the Wynn is closer to all the other casino's I wanted to visit, the minimum stakes for the table games is generally higher at Encore (when I went I had a hard time finding a $25 BJ table), and the restaurants and coffee shop are considerably more expensive.

It all depends on what you want - if you prefer quieter, less busy and more upscale casino with slightly better rooms, then Encore. For more convenience, slightly lower stakes (but still quite upscale) casino go for Wynn. Both are fantastic resorts.

I have stayed at both resorts and I prefer Encore BUT I think it may be because I got tired of spending so much time at Wynn in the past. I like the rooms and food better at Encore.

**** the food at Encore imo. I spent $90 on a Lobster dinner at Wazuzu. I Thought it was going to be the lobster sushi and it turned out to be.....lobster. They marketed it as "live lobster" and out comes a cooked lobster for $90.

are you ******ed? were you expecting an actual living lobster for you to kill and eat raw? It means that the lobster is alive in a tank until they cook it.

Thank you, sir, and thanks everyone for replies. Pretty contrasting responses across the line, but I think in the end I've decided to just stick with the Wynn reservation as that seems to be becoming the consensus, plus I'm sure it will be good either way since both are top rated. So yeah, thanks all! Now I just have to patiently wait until June arrives

How about you check your facts before posting. They actually sold live lobster as in lobster sushi for a while until PETA complained. So now they sell overpriced lobster.

It's a ripoff because ALL lobster is alive in a tank before you eat it. It decays very quickly, it's alive in the back in every restaurant. There is nothing special about their $90 "live lobster".
