Wynn Poker Room- Free Parking Wynn Poker Room- Free Parking

I just got an e-mail from the Wynn about free parking. I wish more rooms on the strip would do this. I think it's good news for Las Vegas poker and I hope others follow their lead.

Excerpt from the e-mail:
"When you take part in our exciting cash games for 2 hours or more, or if you have entered one of our daily or Wynn Classic tournaments, simply present your parking ticket to our staff at the end of your session and we will arrange you complimentary parking."

Anyone who has 75 hours of cash game play or 20 tournaments in the last year still gets automatic complimentary parking regardless of play length and 150 hours gets complimentary valet. But now anyone can get it easily after two hours or a tournament.

Thanks for posting this. And I agree, this makes a ton of financial sense for the poker rooms.

Isn't this what most shopping malls do? If you buy something at a store, you get your parking ticket validated.

Or downtown casinos. You might not even have to buy anything, just walk to the back to get validated.

I got it yesterday-ish (Thu or Fri?)

My question, when I was reading the e-mail, was "Do people park at the Wynn to go to another casino/attraction on the Strip?"

Pretty sure there are some people, the kind of 1-2 day tourists who just want to walk the Strip and check out as many casinos as possible.

But I doubt many people who come to the Strip to gamble are interested in walking over a mile to play slots at the Bellagio.

Wynn is in a different position than center Strip casinos. If you drive to the Wynn, you do so to spend time there. If you drive to Aria you might walk through it and gamble at Cosmo or CP or go Shake Shack to get a burger. IMO it would make much more sense for center Strip casinos to validate than it does for Wynn. For them, validating looks like a move to make sure locals will continue to visit the poker room.

By my count that's Venetian, Wynn, and TI that allow free parking. Any others with a poker room?

To add to that question, are there any that charge in general but don't charge locals? A few of them did that up until the last month or so. Not sure if any still do.

Orleans and South Point don’t charge anyone.

Of those casinos that charge I don’t think there are any with free parking for locals anymore.
