Has anyone stayed at Wyndham Desert Blue during WSOP ? On google maps it looks as if i can walk across the car park to the convention centre and into the side door for WSOP has anyone done this and is it the 5 mins it appears ? Also i presume it is ok to walk this route late at night etc..

The walk is safe, but as soon as you give them your phone number, be prepared to get bombarded with timeshare sales calls 6-10+ times a day until infinity.

Lol ok so fake number seems legit. Is it the 5 min walk it seems as i will be playing a lot at the Rio ?

It's literally right across the street from the WSOP parking lot. Besides staying in the RIO, you won't find a better location. You could also take the long walk under the highway to Caesars. That immediate area isn't riddled with heavy foot traffic so it's a pretty safe walk.

The Gold Coast is a pretty good location option, although you'll spend more time walking thru the Rio itself than walking to the Rio.

I'm here right now. It's a short walk. If you're really lazy, you can Uber the 0.3 miles.

The pools here are basically abandoned and the rooms are nice. I would recommend.
