Has anyone (with a room at the Rio) considered the option of ordering Seamless to their room? Living in NYC, this is pretty much the only way we acquire nutrition at this point.
Does anyone know if having Seamless delivered to your room (or a meetup point on the Rio property) is feasible?
Does anyone have any Seamless reccos?

Isn't there a TGIF in Gold Coast too? Another place that's probably a secret to most is the snack bar at the bowling alley. They have burgers, pizza, sandwiches, etc.

The only Seamless in Vegas I've heard of is the strip club across from the Orleans that closed down a few years ago. A shame, there aren't many strip clubs you don't need a cab for.

There's a TGIF at the Gold Coast, probably could get fast order at the bar which isn't bad. I've had pizza at the bowling alley, please, do not recommend . I've never met a pizza I couldn't eat but that was close.

Its been my experience that walking to the Gold Coast and eating is pushing the time limit no matter where one eats unless its a hot dog at the sports book but that's probably not available after 5:PM .

yes and there is never anyone there. before everyone shrugs that off to lolTGIF, the one at the Orleans is always crowded. not sure why one brings in so many more people than the other one when the two are like one mile apart.

yeah they even have a sign out front advertising this. the burger is probably just fine for a quick meal.

Another option is to carry Cliff Bars, 40-30-30 Zone bars, Luna, or other protein/energy bars with you in your man bag or cargo shorts pockets, and just eat them for dinner.

The typical Cliff Bar has 240 calories, 9 grams protein, and 27 grams carbs. The typical pepperoni pizza usually has 600 calories with 20 grams protein and 50 grams carbs, with loads of fat.

But Balance bars are superior with their 40 30 30 ratios - 15 grams protein, 210 calories. The only downside is that they usually have an outer layer of chocolate or yogurt, which tend to melt in the heat. Whereas the Cliff Bars won't give you any melting problems.

You wanna be regulating your sugar levels during the dinner breaks.

Yeah this is an awesome idea and I think great for snacks (I actually prefer Kind bars, higher ratio of fat/protein to carbs). I don't love having a dinner consisting entirely of energy bars but YMMV.

I'm thinking of starting to pack a couple avocados in my bag along with the plasticware required to eat them. A nice break from the diet of nonstop processed food I generally eat at the wsop.

The assumption is probably that the All American place will be mobbed. I'm not a fan of the place because I had a bad experience there, so I don't know.

I remember one year where I looked for somewhere to get dinner, and after some indecision, ran out of time and got a gas station sandwich from the gift shop. I kind of like those anyway, so not a problem.

The best move, from a convenience standpoint, but not a cost standpoint, is to have a helper order room service so it's there when you go on break. But I bet even All American Dave would be cheaper.

Why would you get Rio room service if you could just order decent food through Uber eats or Postmates?

not sure about the lines but I've eaten at the deli next to the sportsbook, the Pub there in the Rio and Burger King on the 2nd floor. Food was OK, didn't die. Can't see venturing out in the heat and walk all that way to grab a bite.

I see a business opportunity to put food trucks (BBQ, Pizza, Chicken, Tacos, etc) out in the east parking lot of the Rio, with shade and misters.

Never heard of postmates, and I'm not keen on the idea of a random uber schmuck having control of my food for 30 minutes.

If you decide to go to Palms you could eat at the Lucky Penny. I have not had a bad meal there yet.

I have always wonder about this, are they allow to deliver food inside a casino. I'm trying to eat healthier and Casino food are not the best choice for that.

Will Uber eats deliver to poker tables? If so then that's amazing. I would probably be doing this for most dinner breaks.

i heard that they do. i think going to your room and taking a nap/relaxing for an hour, and then just ordering some uber eats/postmates to your table before or after the dinner break would be my top choice.

Here's a suggestion of where *not* to go: Royal India (in the Rio). Some friends of mine got a table and I joined them shortly after the dinner break of the Seniors event. We ordered and after 45 minutes no food had yet appeared. We spoke to our waiter who looked supremely frustrated -- obviously something was majorly amiss in the kitchen. After about 10 more minutes with no food two of us who were still in the tourney had to leave. We told the remaining two to cancel our orders. About 20 minutes later back in the tournament I received a text that the other two guys finally left too. I ended up having M&Ms for dinner :=)

Cliff Bars and Zone Bars (40-30-30) fit very well in your man bag, fanny pack, or even cargo pants. Have 2 or 3 of them each time you go to WSOP Rio.

Update, I got this just before the double stack this morning as I was in a hurry. I went with the grinder option rather than the cheeseburger.

They changed the price to $7.99, but it comes with a cookie too. It's good enough and I doubt you can find any more convenient options for $8.

This is so much easier if you have a car by the way. I grabbed a quick dinner @ whole foods in town square tonight, 10 min drive from Rio and hit the spot.

Now that I've drive around a bit I've found that Flamingo has a plethora of fast food places. If you don't mind eating that and you have wheels, within a few traffic lights heading west there are Mcdonald's, Burger King, Sonic, and Arby's, and even the sit-down place where the poker discussion group meets, Ricardo's.

I know the Rio buffet has gone downhill the past several years.

How are the buffets at the Palms and Gold Coast?
