WSOP Questions coming from European WSOP Questions coming from European

Hi everyone,

Very brief introduction to me. I started playing in the early days of online poker exactly 14 years ago (crazy when I think about it). I made good money while I was studying but obviously everyone knows how easy it was back in the days.

Stopped playing many years ago and I restarted for fun lately and studied a bit the game.

Anyway, I want to once live the WSOP dream and I have a few questions related to it

1) Any chance to find any 10-20 table or even higher that could potentially be full of fish or are these days totally over even at WSOP ?

2) Could it be boring to be there alone for a full week ?

3) What is the proportion of recreational players in 1 to 2k WSOP tournaments ?

4) Any other quality advice ?

Thanks a lot

1) $10/20 full of fish? Highly unlikely. $1/2 is full of fish
2) People are different, but I think most enjoy their time in Vegas. Solo or with a group
3) Do you mean "percentage"?
4) Alles ist cool solange du genügend chillst

Indeed I don't expect full of fish, but 2 to 4 rich dudes coming to burn money. I wouldn't be much interested in anything below 5-10, but also wouldn't be interested in playing against sharks only. I know I'm asking a lot

yes percentage. Obviously a rough estimate

4) Alles ist cool solange du genügend chillst

You might be able to find a soft 5/10+ game, but I fear they are far and between. I haven't played 5/10 in Vegas in at least two years because I wasn't able to find soft games anymore. Now the WSOP usually brings a couple people to town who are willing to lose a lot of money, but finding a game with more than two of those players will be difficult.

It's hard to quantify, but WSOP tournaments up to $1500 have a pretty high percentage of recreational players, especially the one with 'event' character like the Millionaire Maker. The regular $1000 and $1500 events might have gotten a little tougher because small stake players now have the option to play tournaments like the Colossus with even lower buy-in.

No worries, I was just quoting one of the most famous lines from German rapper Samy Deluxe who was a pretty big deal 20 years ago. I thought you picked your name because of him.
