Made it to the first break and wandering around. The halls are full of people venting their bad luck at being out already and of smug big stacks. I am neither at this stage - still hovering around starting stack. Some eventful spots, mostly ran into bigger hands and got my stack down to half starting but doubled with KKs. One interested hand I thought I’d share and get some feedback on:

Blinds 25/50. I have around 6k. Middle position raiser makes it 150, comes to me in small blind with two black Qs and I make it 450. BB cold four bets to 1050. BB has 3 x starting and playing a fair share of pots.

I don’t like any of my options here so early in the tourney but seemed like seeing a flop would make sense and can dump if needed. Never folding for such a small raise and any 5bet is committing me / all in effectively. Middle position opener folds and I flat. Pot is ~2.5k

Flop comes T72hhx

I check oop and he gets 850. I flat.

Turn comes a 5 - I check and he checks too.

River comes another ten. I tank and check. Pot is around ~4K ish. I have just over 4K behind. He thinks for about 30 seconds and then puts me all in - urgh.

Before I share interested to get some thoughts on this hand as played. What is villain on that we beat?

Yeh if I do bust out of my tourneys early il be around for any of the above. Will probably hit up a few sushi joints - Sushi Samba or Yellowtail are decent. Seen a lot of good shows in Vegas already - Absinthe very good - but might just check out something cheesy. Need to try the Hamilton lottery too!

I elected to call given the run out - he had....the other two Queens! I was kinda relieved to see the same hand to be honest. Didn’t want to call it off and bust so early but had to given the action.

Busto in standard fashion- ran AJ into QQ. Never really got moving and was at or below starting stack all day. Not too disappointed with my play although gutted to be out of this one. On to the $600 Venetian tmrw now.

Will be hitting cash at Aria or Bellagio tonight if anyone is about for a beer.

Hopped into a 2/5 at Bellagio and the dealer is causing deaths on my table. Quads twice - one into Aces full and the one was mine :-). Trip AAs a few times and straight over straight.
