Don't change life around me but the wife and I will be in town Thursday. Might be cool to try something new with a lot of folks, although we're sort of playing it by ear.

Let's go ahead and make it next week. I want to make sure people get the word about it.

Okay, so I've chosen a place called Cornish Pasty Co.

For those of you who don't know what a pasty is, it's basically a savory english pie. The Pasty Co is based out of Arizona but recently opened up a location here. The first time I went I was super skeptical but everything there is great. They even sell parbaked frozen pasties to take home for $6. If you want some cheap awesome ready made meals I heartily recommend.

This is the least fancy of the places we've chosen, but a lot of what Vegas food has to offer is hole in the wall, cheap, awesome places and this is taking those to the extreme. It's in the same strip mall as Lotus of Siam and entrees are less than $10. They also have inexplicably amazing desserts.

January 14th, 7 PM. Cornish Pasto Co. FOOD MEETUP HOOOOOOOOOOOO

Decent beer list too, interestingly enough.

Still hard to go to that shopping center and not to LoS, but I've been pleased with my trips to Cornish Pasty Co in the past.

Congrats on discovering the beautiful Cornish Pasty. Originally the food of miners.

What sort of variety do they offer Gobbo, different flavours/veggie versions?

They have traditional versions and lots of cool original ones. I had a marinated salmon one with a dill cream sauce that was pretty awesome. And they have a chicken tikka masala one. They have 30+ pasties, some vegetarian.

Cornish Pasty Co is a great choice! I've eaten there probably a dozen times in AZ. I usually get the Meat and Cheese and my wife gets The Pilgrim.

I am super skeptical but the chicken tikka masala one sounds good enough to give it a shot. Count me in.

No idea how many are coming! I'll try to arrive slightly early and be seated at a booth. It's a small place, you'll find me.
