Has anyone stayed at Arizona Charlie’s Boulder Casino? Three weekend nights with resort fee is only 70ish a night. That a lot cheaper then anywhere else it seems. Only 4 miles from rio which isn’t terrible.
As the previous poster mentioned the MGM properties through myVegas have a lot of blackout dates (and restrictions), but Wynn doesn't -- you just have to pay more "gems" (the currency in the game) to rent those rooms. But I've been playing that game for less than two weeks, set to auto spin most of the time, and have enough gems for 1.5 nights for my June 30-July 4 trip. Not shabby for a $200-per-night room.

I am staying at the RIO to play some events but was wondering what hotel rooms are closet to the tournament area (as I have mobility issues).

I phoned and was told Masquerade tower. Just want to verify that. Thank you in advance for the response.

No masquerade tower is farther away, a lot farther away. Ipanema tower is closest to WSOP tournament area.

Good instinct. They told you wrong.

Elevators to both towers are pretty far from the pavilion, where cash games, satellites, daily deep stacks, and a good deal of the tourney action takes place, but Ipanema tower elevators are closest. You will likely need a mobility device.

Yeah, try to arrange for a Rascal rental. There are companies in Vegas that rent and bring it to your hotel. You might also ask the Rio if they have them.

It's a long trek down the hall to get to the WSOP area. I've been there when my back was messed up and also when my foot was messed up. Very unpleasant walk.

TJS96 - All the above are true.......... Definitely request a room in the Ipanema tower AND request a room close to the elevators - Rio is good at accomodating that issue in my experience. Note to close to an elevator can be noisey from drunks late at night but it is a price your pay trade off. Sorry the person you talked to gave you crap advice. DEFINITELY stay on the Ipanema side for distance to the WSOP area.
