After 2.5 weeks here I'm leaving tomorrow and I can't get out of here fast enough. I had forgotten how much I hate everything about live poker...the slow games....the people...the rake etc. etc. etc. I'm going back to my sick grind station in Thailand. If I ever mention coming back to Vegas again will someone remind me how much I hate live poker please?

Booked for 10/31-11/4

Staying at comped suite at MGM.

Doing either CUT or Joel Robuchon for blow out dinner.

Tons of cash games, maybe 1 tournament and some dice. Also, football (plan is to have my entire roll out on Sunday).

Oh man, yeah, this could get good. I didn't even realize it was Halloween weekend until after I booked. I assume Vegas gets weird around then.

Mine's a boy's trip too, no wives = nonstop gambool with breaks for nice meals. Should probably get together to degen.

I'm grunching, but where is everyone staying?

EDIT: 2 of us at MGM so far. Nice. We're also in the suites they're basically begging to give away.

Picking up a good friend at LAX then Driving up. Staying for the weekend at the Orleans. Very excited. Tomorrow night, planning on either doing the Vegas Club Crawl or The Casino Crawl of Doom (from 4 Scots in Vegas TR).

Thanksgiving weekend for 3 nights. I have 3 trips in Nov: NYC, Denver, and Vegas. I'm looking forward to playing on the wsop.com site. I just love online poker. Hopefully we can do a small scale 2+2 buffet meetup or something?

Booked a flight last night for Oct. 29-Nov. 5. My second time in Vegas. Going solo and plan on grinding a ton but trying to party a bit out there as well (especially on Halloween, obviously).

Best deal I could find was the Quad for $335 after taxes for the week. I'm platinum with Total Rewards but never get free rooms. I don't get it.

Have you tried contacting a Caesars resort and asking to speak to a host?
You'd get a much better deal that way.
I'm platinum MLife and haven't paid for a room for the last 4 trips.

Booked The Quad for some cheap skates joining the fun.

$15.98 room charge (total for Friday and Saturday)
$15 per night "resort fee"

You know you have a **** hotel when a $15 per night resort fee triples the cost of your stay. Resort fees are the worst.

Hep C comes free though, right?

Excalibur (Yeah, I know it is a dump) has $21.00 a night deal going on... Mainly weekdays, but also some cheap weekend prices also.

Anyone know what the extras are? Resort fee if any and taxes, etc add up to?

Resort fee is $15 per day. Tax is 12% on top of room and resort fees.

Just ask the host what kind of deal he can do for you. Make sure you have your Total Rewards membership number handy.
Seeing as you are platinum, you have clearly got a history that he/she will be able to pull up.
You could always try saying that you have been offered comps at an MGM property but you'd rather stay with Caesars.
