I go back and forth to Alaska all the time, sometimes through Portland but most of the time through Seattle, then Anchorage, always on AK Air.

Do you ride bikes? Rent a bike instead of a car. Cruising the desert on a nice bike is really awesome! Ck out Eagle Rider . com and get you a nice Electra Glide (hard saddle bags -ice and water bottle, and trunk good for 10+ lbs of stuff), you and the wife can ride comfortable.
Ride out to the Dam, then along the lake Northerly to the Valley of Fire, and finally cruise through Red Rock as you start coming back towards Vegas....a really nice day ride, 225-250 miles roughly.

I'm 5'6", 215 pounds. I'll let you guess if I ride a ****ing bike, let alone a bike in the god damn desert.

Six month weight loss bet going, though. That would certainly help it.

Fat or skinny, tall or short, doesn't matter....American muscle, Harley Davidson motor bike, is all you gotta do is twist the throttle!

I will be out on in Vegas for three nights between May 20 and May 23rd. Heading out with the girlfriend and some other family, and maybe be looking to grab a beer if they are seeing some lame show (I'm not saying all the shows are lame).

Just got in yesterday morning and will be here until Friday. 90 degree sunshine is awesome after the dreary Midwestern spring we had. Havent played much yet but will play the noon tourney at the Venetian today and then plenty of cash games. I'll be the old guy with the Blackhawks hat on spending lots of time in the V poker room this week.

First wsop trip no immediate plans of any tourneys gonna be a long cash grind, I'm there from June 6-10. Would be interested in meeting some other 2+2ers while at tables or bar. Will be updating forum while there, probably create a thread of my trip.
