Have 6/7 rooms booked, but not sure which ones I'll keep yet.
The NFR should be in town.... so there should be a number of country acts playing.

Did not say from where you are flying. However, pricing, especially on United, has been insane .... fortunately shopping around can locate cheaper fares, plus as someone who flies in and out of Las Vegas regularly ..... even United drops last minute fares (dropping from $1200 ow to $200 ow)

There are a number of services that can keep track of fares for you.

This is a lot easier than you trying to remember to check them yourself.

I saw a few of you mention that, so booked some rooms for the week prior, in hope of a decent flight being available. Might be a chance I'm not the worst player at some tables during the first week

The cowboys who play poker generally are here during the 10 days of the NFR itself.

There will be more action than usual, and the casinos are packed with generally friendly partiers wearing cowboy hats.

You might try South Point, which has a fondness for hosting cowboys during the NFR and PBR events.... It also has a good sized poker room.

MGM, Mirage and Venetian draw well, if I had to pick other likely spots.

Not sure where you're flying from, but consider getting rodeo tickets for one night .... worth attending.

Yeah, I get in on the 8th, and think that finishes on the 14th. Hopefully catch them when they're really into their drinking groove!

I went to South Point for a show a couple years ago, and like it, but I have to get taxis because I use one of those scooters, and it's a costly exercise moving around town with one of those in tow, lol.

I'm bouncing around between PH/Aria/Wynn for the 2 weeks I'm there, so should be able to get myself into plenty of trouble.

I'm from the UK, but will definitely look into the rodeo for a night out. Cheers!

Doing the yearly football betting trip Oct. 23-27th - hiking Red Rock the 24th, then checking in at the Wynn and doing the cabana thing the 25th. Sat and Sun at the TI book from 8am or so until the last game - I'm a big guy with a beard probably wearing a Kliban cat t-shirt, and my brother is a bigger guy probably in shorts - stop by and I'll buy you a beer.

Sad to say that I had to cancel a trip at the beginning of November. My friend bailed on it and I didn't want to do another solo trip. Probably will do the Dad/Brother trip again during the NCAA tournament.

Just got back and spent 5 days at the Southpoint. On the weekends the Poker room has a lot of action. They had a 2/3 game going plus you'll see the MUG there lately

Hotel did a reno pulled all the carpet out of the rooms and put in Luxury Vinyl flooring. What a genius of an idea

When is the last time you went?

I’ve lost the desire that I used to have to go to Vegas. I went the first time back in 1994 and went every year at least once or twice….3 times twice until 2012. Then I went back in 2017 twice and haven’t been back since.

I live in NC and am just as happy going to Cherokee and Caesars Danville will be opening later year so I’ll have less reason to go.

I imagine I’ll go back for a few weeks for the WSOP sometime in the future but not sure when.

Ten years ago. That was also my first and only visit to the US.

You Americans have so many available options for live poker.

I'm going for my first time ever this April, 4/18-4/21.

I made a separate thread on this, but I am hoping to see any WSOP tourism or poker history related things. Is there a hall of fame exhibit at the Horseshoe?

Also I wouldn't mind trying to get an autograph or two of some famous players. Should I hang near Bobby's Room or Aria high roller room?

My plan is to play 2/5 at Resorts World... I don't think I'll have enough time to play any dailys.

The only thing at the shoe is a couple walls of all the past champions. nothing exciting or worth going out of the way for. It is a nice room, but if you're playing 2/5 you're better off at resorts, aria, bellagio or the wynn.

Westgate on 4/21, you can get the Trooper's autograph.

If there's a Vegas Golden Knights home playoff game, you might be able to get a DNegs selfie, but you'll have to be fast to catch him. Play at Aria, and get a seat along the front of the room, because that's on the main drag to the stadium.
