June 5 to June 29

From June 5 until June 14 I'll be staying at The Stratosphere. Very likely to play Event #20 Seven Card Stud on June 7. On June 14 I'll rent a car and drive to California, staying at a friend's house. Hiking, fishing, amusement parks, California poker, and road trips await me there. I'll drive back to Las Vegas on Friday June 21st and will stay at Planet Hollywood. Will definitely play Event #50 Monster Stack Flight B on Saturday.

I'm still deciding if I should make a trip report or not since my trip is 3 and a half weeks long.

End of the month - 3 days in Death Valley, then three days at Red Rock - hiking trip but we'll probably squeeze in a bit of gambling and maybe some time at the pool.

Have you been to Death Valley before? We are renting a car the upcoming trip and will do a full day hike from Vegas. Any recommendations?

I've been to Death Valley twice. Last time I did this loop hike that I can't recommend enough. It's called the Golden Canyon/Gower Gulch/Badlands Loop. It's about 8 miles total and includes Zabriske Point. Awesome views and I saw only a handful of people until I got to Zabriske Point. Great views, different types of terrain and rock coloration. I'd recommend starting at the Badwater Road starting point and go in a counter-clockwise direction (I did the hike in a clockwise direction). At least for me, the last part of the hike ie Gower Gulch was probably the least interesting of all the sections, so I'd get that out of the way first. Of course you'll be going up the Gulch instead of downhill, but then you won't have to hike up the big incline in the Golden Canyon.

Recommendation from thedude404 who is apparently a DV guru - we're doing that hike but you could do any part of it - you can pick up a map when you get to the park. Should be a good time of year for it.

Heading to Vegas 4/3 through 4/8, so if you see a 51-year-old woman with shoulder-length light brown hair (slight touch of gray), 5'7", blue/green eyes, thin, playing PLO at the ARIA, please say hello! I will be drinking wine or champagne.

Staying at the Elara, which is great for getting to Aria. Might do a little snowboarding, too.

Booked for a week at Harrah's from July 2nd to the 9th with my poker buddies. Smaller crew this year but still a solid bunch. Buying beer at the airport and hitting the dispensary on the way to our hotel. Hitting our old standby Margaritaville for at least one drunken meal. Lots of horse racing action/UFC betting at Bally's Racebook planned. We will play virtually all poker at Flamingo except for one session at the Golden Nugget during our annual trip to the Heart Attack Grill. Last year we had everyone outfitted with crazy banana shirts for a day which turned out to be a great conversation starter at the tables and out and about on the strip. Planning on getting tickets for UFC 239 (fight club presale is this coming Wednesday) and possibly going to see Opium at Cosmo. Anyone here seen that show? We really liked Absinthe and I see that it's the same people behind this show.

It's been a grinding year at work so I'm definitely in need of some let loose and gamble time. The countdown begins with the purchase of the UFC tickets next week!

June 2nd to June 6th. Will pick up this live trip report. Staying at PH but had a bad beat with my flight a month or two ago so have to adapt first night. Debating on no room or do a MyVegas night at Bellagio if I can get a room. Keep an eye out for the trip report.

Hoping to get to Vegas on the 11/1 weekend... Hotel costs are reasonable but the flights for some reason are crazy expensive. Any idea why that might be the case?

I’m betting that it’d be cheaper to fly Thursday, plus Halloween is pretty fun.

I'll be there 8/22 through 8/24. My 40th birthday is on the 23rd. Drinking, smoking trees, poker and craps are on the menu. If anyone wants to meet up let me know. Cheers!

Sometime in next couple of months. I know I am not a Kardashian, but I think posting exact details on a trip beforehand is asking for trouble.

It will be a week long and my first Vegas solo. I plan on doing a post trip recap when I get home.

The plan is to stay at Bally's, get a haircut at The Art of Shaving at the Mandalay Shoppes, nice meal at Stripsteak at Mandalay Bay, seeing three Cirque shows (O, Zumanity, and Love), solving the case at CSI The Experience, tournaments at Bally's, and cash games at Caesars.

I feel somewhat the same way. I’m doing my first solo trip shortly - though staying at Mirage, playing at Venetian / Wynn, a couple of nice dinners.

No shows for me. I don’t like shows even though I’ve seen almost all of them - but I’m solo so I don’t have to do ****! When are you going back to Vegas?

It is in MGM and was to the right just before you get to Television City, but it seems like it may have moved somewhere else in MGM based on things I've read.

When the wife and I went, there were three cases and you chose one to solve. At the end, you would input your findings into a computer and would get an evaluation from Gil Grissom. You would get a "diploma" designating you a CSI level one.

I think they made a marketing error in not giving higher "diplomas." Solve one case, you are a level one, solve two cases, you are a level two, and so on. This would give people a slight incentive to do more cases.

I have solved all the cases, but I am going back because I heard they revamped it. It will be nice to do it solo because my wife and I read at vastly different speeds. I would be ready to move to the next evidence station and she would still be reading.

The shows may have to fall by the wayside. I want to do so much poker that the shows might cut into it too much.

If it had been the wife and I going, I would have bought the tickets already, but since it is just me I am playing it by ear.

Late September for milestone birthday and to see the Eagles in concert. Have 8 people in our party spread across 3 rooms at 3 hotels - Cosmopolitan, Bellagio and Caesers Palace. All rooms comped through various players and loyalty club programs. So looking forward to it.

Managed to get a decent price for a flight, so all booked up, coming out early December and flying home just before Xmas.

Only nailed on plan is UFC 245, and possibly a couple WSOP Circuit comps if I feel like donating some money into the poker economy.

Have 6/7 rooms booked, but not sure which ones I'll keep yet.

The wife and were fortunate enough to have seen Eagles twice while Frey was still alive. Once in Vegas and once here.

It wouldn't be the same without him so we're not going to see them again.

Heading back Set 18-23 for the Life is beautiful Festival...staying at the Luxor since it was by far the best deal I got offered (450 inc resort fees). Super pumped and will probably try some downtown restaurants. Esthers and Carsons kitchen seem worth a try...anyone have any other suggestions for downtown?

Le Thai & Pizza Rock are both decent downtown spots.
