Ok yeah your right, I was thinking they were in the 5 percent range, which at 3 dollars a bet I can do because it's fun, but I am finding now I it is anywhere from a 7.5 percent edge to a 20 percent edge depending on the pay structure. I will stick with the pass line, odds and placing the 6 and 8 for that.

you don't. Stay away from pit games, especially craps. It will kick your bankroll in the nuts.

At a 5 dollar table you can use the extra money you save on the pass line, and place it on the odds, so your betting the same amount of money as you would at a 10 dollar table, but the money is bet with no house advantage.

Based on the Las Vegas table game survey I did in December, you will find $5 craps on the Strip at:

- Casino Royale ($3 3-4-5x odds)
- Circus Circus (2x odds)
- Stratosphere (10x odds - regular and crapless)
- Excalibur (3-4-5x odds)
- Linq (3-4-5x odds)
- O'Sheas (3-4-5x odds)
- Paris (3-4-5x odds)
- SLS Las Vegas (10x odds)

Note that some of these may raise it on busy/weekend nights. If you're there when it's $5 and they move it to $10, ask to get grandfathered at old minimum.

Both were $10 during my walk through during the slowest time of the year. It was three days before Christmas. Maybe you'll catch $5 early in the day.

100% cromwell is $5 from about 2am- until 1or 2 pm based on business. When i was there before xmas.

Actually that's absolutely untrue at cromwell. 100x odds you can force bet $5 and put the moon behind it if you're winning...obv not playing craps is best bet. But if you're gonna pay for drinks I look at it as a freeroll. I bet what I'd spend on a night out anyway.

It's going to be tough on a weekend. Casino Royale, Circus Circus and O'Sheas are probably best options. You may find $5 games early in day at Bally's or Flamingo. Hooters, just off Strip, has $5 craps.

Was playing $5 craps mid-week at Bally's (or was it Harrahs?) a while back, not sure if they still have it.

Young guy hit the fire bet, I had $5 on it and a dollar for the crew. They were happy. Floor man was watching the color ups like a hawk.

One player next to the shooter was pressing up his bets pretty aggressively all during the shooters long roll. As they paid him out one of the dealers said quietly '...yellow out...' which meant they paid him with $1000 chips.

Even though they seem a little jaded at times, most dealers know what is going on.

$5 craps is very entertaining, even though it is -ev for the old bankroll.

These days you're more likely to find $5 craps at Harrah's than Linq, and at Harrah's only at the entrance table near the piano bar. This is kind of new for Harrah's; up until a year or so ago they'd do $5 in the mornings, even on weekends, but weekends are pretty much all $10 in the main pit (source: I always stay there). Linq is trying to fancy itself up I guess (customers haven't figured that out), as I haven't seen a $5 table there in quite a while.

I don't like the new Casino Royale much, but the times I have wandered through they seem to have one $5 table, then a $10.

At the start of a roll the fire bet plays if the shooter makes points on the 4,5,6,8,9, and 10 before 7ing out. Odds are like 3100 to 1 or something but casinos give you a smooth 1000 to 1. Thus it’s tough to find a worse bet.

Bet usually limited to 5 on a 15 table and 10 on higher tables.
