So Ill go second. Leaving Augusta in the morning and staying at Cosmo through Wednesday. Ive done two or three TRs before, and find that its a great way to look back and remember the trip. So lets get it.

BTW if anyone hears of Foatie dying from the Corona between now and early tomorrow morning please lmk.

Cool, I'm interested to hear how it is right now.

With my trip to Europe on 07/17 in serious doubt, I'm considering LV as a backup plan. Would be a shame to stay home after the family already OK'd me being gone for two weeks

Not that interested n plexiglas poker though.

Got to Cosmo about 11am - room was ready. Did the $20 trick - nothing.

Trip results -20

Got octopus and tzatziki at Milos for lunch

Then bought in for 5k at BJ

and combined with a Mezcal Old Fashioned

Ran that down to 2k but went to craps table and won 2800. Hit the video poker on way to room and blew 2k so sitting on about a 2200 loss so far.

Going to rest in room and play the WSOP online event at 3.

Did they change the octopus? Looks different than I remember it. I usually get that with the lunch deal (that's not that much of a deal anymore) even though they upcharge for it.

It's like a regular old fashioned, you just replace the whiskey with mezcal or a combination of mezcal and tequila. I think upscale cocktail bars also replace the sugar cube (or simple syrup or Demerara syrup) with agave nectar but I doubt you'll get that at a black jack table?

Got slightly above a mincash in the WSOP online 400, finished 244th for $677 or so.

Still counting it as third straight year with a WSOP cash. #positivity

Got up super early on Eastern time, went for a run and a quick workout in fitness room.

Off to Venetian to play in 300 Shootout tourney. First get the “Latin Breakfast” at Chica’s

Was really good. Then after regging tourney have a little time to play 1-3 in the first game of any kind that starts around 9. Playing 5 handed is so great - makes live poker tolerable.

Get seated in tourney and are 4 handed tables. I play OK and have a 20k-10k lead heads up at 600-1200 and lose a flip 88 to A9s to win table. Next hand I min open KQs, he defends 35o and flops three 3s - sends me home.

Nice thread. Good to see life here is going on for tourists.

Drove down the Strip yesterday afternoon. Much traffic, a lot of pedestrians also. However, there were still major properties closed.

I have to admit to pessimism about the next 12 weeks or so, your thread was a welcome counter-balance.

Gzesh - I share your pessimism. Despite most of Cosmo being open, Milos did close down yesterday for the time being. Although the casino floor got moderately busy last night you can really see the difference on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

Madlex - they used to serve the octupus on its own along with slivered red onion and capers, but for past few years its been over a fava bean puree like in my photo.

Foatie - Im just not cut out for any sort of video poker or slots - those machines must read me like a book and def play GTO against me.
