yeah I only last so long playing pass, max odds, place bets on every spot, and money on all of the hard ways. always lol to have 30 units spread out but pat myself on the back when the shooter 7s out because I had a 1 unit come bet. Wins a win.

Old folks like me who still thing TV's greatest moment was The Wire recall that Prez used math class to teach kids about dice odds.

But irl the only proper craps strategy is to find a table with at least one loud drunk Texan, and enjoy the ride.

This tournament is a painful experience. Not for the cards or anything, but for.....

The constant tanking
The old guy on my right who just won't shut the **** up
The dude who is playing a $125 tournament with headphones, sunglasses and backpack, but needs a constant reminder to tell him it is his turn

I've got another pet hate (grumpy old man that I am). When a player tanks and then folds, and the player behind him starts tanking as well. Couldn't you ****ing make a decision on what to do when the mother****er in front of you tanked for 3 minutes?

Jam my last 8 BBs from the SB with 8T, and BB calls with aces. I told him it was my lucky hand before the dealer put out the community cards.

Shame that the one shooter that couldn't through a 7 got dragged away by his partner after 40 mins of throwing.

Partner must have been the most hated person in Vegas for a few minutes.

Gambling in Paris? Didn't think anyone did that any more.

Note to self - don't river a set if it still ain't gonna be the winning hand. At least the villain I doubled up was Watbri.

Turning a set is an awesome feeling in poker. Finding out the villain flopped a bigger set and checked back the flop is not so awesome.

The trip is winding down with the last hour or so playing in the Bellagio. Whilst Vegas has once again been awesome, the cards have felt particularly cruel this time around. It's easy to think we've been hard done by, and we do all tend to remember the bad beats and forget the lucky ones we've won, but there's been too many unfavourable river cards to recount them all.

Overall, I believe I've lost around $5k in pots to bad river cards, the majority of which have come when we've been all in on the flop or turn. Now, I'd expect to lose maybe 30% of these just due to variance, but that's still a $3.5k swing in the wrong direction. Of course, I may just be deluding myself.

I also can't recall winning an all-in-pre flip, but I can remember coming out on the wrong side of at least 4 of them. Not least the last hand I played when AK<QQ...... again. This time I rivered the K just to rub salt in the wounds that were opened up when the villain was greeted by a Queen in the window.

That aside, and as mentioned earlier, Vegas remains awesome. Bellagio remains my favourite place to stay, and to play. Wynn / Encore still has the most beautiful room and the lists are still the longest at Aria. The only thing that has changed over the last couple of years is that the cocktail waitresses are not as stunningly beautiful at Aria as they used to be.

Gambling wise, $2/$5 and PLO were both profitable, $5/$10 and $1/$3 were not. Craps was kind, sports betting was kind, but pai gow was cruel. Slots were a wash and I didn't play any other table games.

Food wise, Craftsteak was once again the highlight.

So that's it for now. Time to cash in the chips, hail a taxi and begin the long, long journey home. As always, I can't wait to be back again, but will have to be patient for 8 months. Next time is scheduled for July and taking the proverbial stab at the Main Event. Until then, adios Las Vegas.
