I'm curious if someone who was trespassed could eventually get back in.

Like if someone came back 10 years later with a different address, liscence, etc, or even a different name, how could they know?

Because I know you can actually go back to the casino, you just can't gamble and win or basically use your players card in some way.

Depending on what you did to get trespassed, you can always contact security or someone like that and petition to get the trespassed removed if it's been awhile.

And no, trespassed is trespassed. It doesn't mean you can still go onto the property and just not use stuff like a player's card or hit a jackpot where they will be able to easily identify you. Sure depending on the level of why you got kicked out, you may be able to get away with it. But getting away with it is not the same as you can actually go back to the casino legally. Casino surveillance uses facial recognition software. If they catch you, you will be going to jail, not asked to leave again.

After a year passes, the DA doesn't even prosecute on trespassing, at least in Vegas.

And I know plenty of people who have just walked through casinos or went to eat and were never swarmed by security or arrested.

So that makes me wonder what are they using facial recognition for?

Also, what types of situations could they let you make in or not?

So you know plenty of people who have not only done something to get 86'ed but have defied the trespassing order. Interesting.

You still didn't answer what exactly are you 86'ed for and those plenty of people that you know as well?

If you got 86'ed for being a drunk dumb dumb, probably a decent chance to get the ban rescinded.

If you got 86'ed for theft, destruction of property, threats to employees and management, probably a decent chance you won't get it rescinded.

Most of these places don't even have facial recognition and if they do it's garbage. Aria's is really good though.

I got 86ed from card counting in BJ at one property in 2021. They read me the Nevada statue number whatever when they trespassed me. Funny thing is this is when masks were required. They asked me to lower my mask for the cameras I refused and just walked out and cashed my chips in another time.

To the OP-i think if the ownership has changed hands the trespass is no longer valid. Of course they could just trespass you again.

I'm curious what you did but after ten years you'll be fine especially if you're not using a card for anything.

There was a couple instances where I was playing poker and slammed chips and one time it hit a dealer or someone complained and asked I be kicked out, I think. I mean they didn't tell me specifically why or what they recorded as a reason, but that's my guess.

I had tilt and impulse control issues back then that I don't have now. I also told a floor guy at Aria something to the effect of how can I self ban or I wish poker didn't exist or something that was a red flag basically.

But I've walked through these casinos shortly after this a few times and nothing happened.

So if I ever move back I'm wondering what would happen if I just went to get a new players card, changed my name, or maybe didn't even play with one, because the whole thing is triggered by that players card.

If that's the reason for the trespass and it's been over a year, I would contact security over the phone and ask to be allowed to visit again.

Back in the 90s-2000s I personally have been 86'd at most vegas strip properties for card counting and team blackjack play. I violated all 86ings. I was 86'd at the rio multiple times in one big weekend. I have never been placed under arrest for violating my 86ing nor have any of my teammates of which there were a lot.

I went on to play poker at many of these casinos after being 86'd.

Did you use your players card when you played poker?

When I transitioned from blackjack to poker I had to speak to some higher ups in order to be able to gambool at the poker tables at some casinos. At the rio I promised to not play blackjack. I have a bunch of former teammates who went on to have poker careers who also had to talk with higher ups in order to play poker at the rio. The Venetian wound up being a room I played a ton of poker in after black friday and was able to play poker w/o talking to any one.

I've heard so much conflicting stuff on this that I have no strong opinion.

However, one bit of advice that makes sense to me is to hang on to any mail you might get. If they do try to go after you, you can use it as evidence that you were invited back.
