11/5-11/10
After pulling back to back 12 hr+ sessions on the strip I'm ready to go again. Start off playing some 2/5 PLO at aria in a not so good game and then hit the Aria buffet with the roommate.
Aria dinner buffet is excellent. I've had the lunch buffet there a couple times in the past but the dinner one is way better with pork belly cuts and a pretty good variety of curries. I overstuff myself and enter a food coma and cannot grind any promo games for the rest of the evening.
The next day, my roommate and I grab some Popeyes for brunch before the grind and I overstuff myself again and enter a food coma and cannot grind any promo games for the next 2 days.
Crap...
Ok its Friday Flamingo Freeroll time. We get 97 entrants and I am an alternate as I wait for my seat for 1 hour. With 97 entrants, my fair equity in this tournament is about $120. When I sit down, the blinds are about 200/400. I jam KK in the first orbit and double through AJo. I jam 66 and beat AQ the next hand. I later jam K7o and beat AT blind vs blind. Easy game. Anyways, I cash the flamingo top 20 for $400 and I'm off to ballys to finish the rest of my hours before the saturday freeroll.
My roommate and I also kidnap one of the newer 1/2 regs there and play an hour of ping pong at my place before heading back to the strip. I hustle him on a $1 bet giving him an 18 point handicap, win at 21 and barely eek out the win at 22-20.
I accidentally leave my phone at home and feel anxious that I lost it somewhere the entire time I am at Ballys. My tablet is almost dead by the 5th hour and I need 30 more minutes. I don't feel like playing much and I want to lock up a pretty solid session win here so I decided to go back the next day and finish the 30 minutes then. Ballys HH time.
H1:
I limp 33 EP and it goes HU with BB checking.
Flop: 9 4 2 rainbow
I bet $5 and BB calls.
Turn: 9 4 2 K
Check check
River: 9 4 2 K 6
BB leads out $6.
I do what I normally do when I'm deciding on a play and talk to my body parts.
Heart: Lets bluff here, we block 35
Brain: So what? This isn't PLO. That doesn't matter and who's gonna believe we limped 35.
Heart: We could have 66
Brain: And thats it. This line won't make sense.
Heart: He's a recreational player and his line looks weak, lets punish this block bet.
Brain: You're stupid. He looks like 9x though.
Gut: make it 100!
Heart: do it! good for image. But don't do 100 thats insane.
Gut: Durrrrrrr does it tho.
Brain: fine
Sweat glands: I don't like it.
We bump it to 45 and he goes long into the tank and we're sweating a bit. He finally calls with A9.
Brain: you guys are all donkeys.
H2:
A9 hero call guy opens to 7 UTG and we look down at Q
8
Its typically bad to 3 bet at 1/2 as everyone just limps everything but this particular guy is opening fairly wide and his smaller opens to 7 tend to lean towards the weaker regions of his open range. Most importantly, we gotta git'him for hero calling us earlier. We bump it to 25 and SB shoves all in for 33 and BB calls and UTG calls and somehow we got 4 way to the flop with $130 in the middle....

UTG shoves all in for $160.
Wait, why did the flop change? Oh ****, I misread the flop and thought it came J high. Thats what I get for being on my tablet the entire session. I woudn't have checked behind if I realized I flop 2 pair. Whatever, I call. BB tanks and calls off all in for less $125. We hold vs SB 9
9
, BB A
K
, and UTGs A
T
A9 hero call guy constantly needles me the rest of the session for 3 betting Q8. It works out though as he calls all my value 3 bets and value bets for the rest of the session.
H3:
We make it $8 early position with A

and BTN calls and BB ballys reg calls.
Flop: J

BB checks, we think for a bit and decide we will check this time and BTN bets 15. I think we can go for a check raise here as BTN seems a bit stabby and shouldn't have JJ too much or TT, both hands we could play this way. BB beats me to the play and check raises small to 35, I call and BTN calls
Turn: J
T

Cool an unexpected wheel draw. BB bets 50 into about 125 which I think is a terrible sizing for whatever range this player is repping and I have an easy call and BTN folds
River: J

BB tank checks.
We don't have too much bluffs here except K
Q
type hands. But my image overall in these games is pretty good and some people tend to hero me a bit more than necessary since I bluff in these games a lot so I size 200 into 225, get tank called and we win a good pot.
We have about a +1k session at ballys so thats pretty nice.
I go back the next day to finish off my last 30 minutes before 3:00 and the tournament starts at 5. I need to kill some time so I jump into the 5/T game at bellagio and the game is pretty good.

I don't expect UTG to have too many
combos as she seems the type to Cbet hearts. I can see her having many Tx combos that have to call turn but probably fold to a decent river bet. I chop with JQ and Its questionable if she would peel with JK or QK in these positions which I lose to. 67s is a double gutter that I need to fold out but I'm not entirely sure if she opens that UTG for 4x.
I fire 330 and she tanks for a bit and calls with 7
8
. I guess 67s is probably in her UTG open range then.
I leave the game after winning some money back with QJ vs 45 on QJ54A and I head to ballys for the freeroll
89 entrants and top 80 pay. Its about $180 of value right there for 10 hours of play. We min cash after playing a unreasonably long 81 bubble and head home. Promos are such a drag, and I strongly consider dropping out of a full time promo grind for the month.

Also I got a report from someone that Harrah's 13 hour freeroll grind the past week had 51 entrants. Almost $200 value in equity there but the games were very bad according to him.
So its looking not too likely I'll do the full 80 hour flamingo this month, or the southpoint. Maybe I'll squeeze a Harrahs promo for variety this week. Also got an old roommate flying back in town to visit and I want to bum hunt him at 2/5 as he plans on playing at just aria and wynn trying to fan stalk the vlogger Marle as if he has a chance...
