Are any of the locals in Vegas willing to share some secrets about things such as the best routes to take, hidden free parking locations, best places to eat that few know about, or any other local secrets? I want to be in the know next time I go.

Another meaningful and well thought out reply by you. I save my ignore list for only the biggest morons who contribute nothing. Congrats! You’re the only one on the list!

YardHouse Happy Hour on Linq promenade 3pm-6pm Mon-Fri. Select half price appetizers and $2 off all pints, making domestic beers $3 I think.

I mean... there is SO MUCH, some of which doesn't even involve the strip.

FYI, Vegas is beginning to open up and trying to get back to normalcy.

Here... there are 5 Rolex AD's in Vegas... and at least as many other secondary market locations where someone could make a purchase.

I'm guessing this is locals tips for people visiting Vegas?

For good and cheaper food obviously eat off the strip. The bigger your group (4ppls versus 2 people) the cheaper it will be to Uber/Lyft to off the strip places for meals.

Check out food places (lots of AYCE stuff too) in Chinatown which is a fast and cheap Uber ride away from the strip. Spending $25 for an AYCE Korean BBQ or AYCE sushi place will beat the burger and fries plate you will get on the strip for $25.

Ellis Island was also a great place close to the strip for cheap good beer and diner style food. Their BBQ place is awesome although it was limited hour even before covid.

Some good tips so far, thanks!

I’ve heard of hidden tunnels that run underground and a lot of homeless shack up there. But I’ve also heard you can drive through sections of them and this allows you to bypass traffic. Any truth to that? Has anyone ever been in the tunnels?

Non-local pro tip: Never use a cab. I tried it once on my last trip and they long hauled me from Rio. Swore them off.

Taxi fare to/from airport to most hotels now have a fixed price that should be displayed. No need to worry about longhauling.

Yep, they now have fixed prices to and from each casino listed so no more of those long trips and the prices are comparable to Uber/Lyft and the pick up is right outside the airport versus across into the parking lot and waiting.

The only tunnel I know to bypass traffic is from Park MGM to Aria which is only really useful around a Knights game when you are heading out of the Park MGM parking lot and heading north and don't want to get stuck in the traffic around the arena.

In my experience the biggest "secret" is really just the fantastic off-strip food places Vegas has to offer. We used to solely eat on the street or downtown, but now we tend to hit up off-strip places at least a couple times a trip. I'd got to Eater Vegas and get tips on the best ones.

Alright, possibly a stupid question but what’s a Rolex AD?

Edit: is it Authorized Dealer?

If he rolls up his sleeve to display 6 of them or his watches spell the brand with 2 Xs,

he probably is not an authorized Rolex dealer ....

There used to be a secret off-ramp in the drainage tunnels that let you out in the Imperial Palace, it was only available on days with no rainfall.
