Up about 400% from when I bought it, wish I purchased more.

Yes however others have done as well or better. I think the guys that own the Strat and Arizona Charlie’s is one I wish I had.

I actually wanted to buy stock in a slot operator like Dotty’s but they aren’t publicly traded.

no, Accel is another distributed gaming operator though. They just acquired Century Gaming recently, which is one of the NV operators. This expanded Accel significantly to the west.

GDEN has an interesting portfolio including three (I think) casinos in Laughlin and one or two in Pahrump. Also Rocky Gap in Maryland I think. And tons of tavern machines in NV.

Dotty's is its own company and I believe it is privately held. They have a kind of bizarre standalone casino in Laughlin and another casino in or near Boulder City.

There are a handful of other smaller operators, but most good smaller operators are getting picked off by larger entities. Like PENN bought a big IL route operator 6 years ago, and there are others.

I really wanted to get some GDEM like last May or June, really wanted a stock in a gaming company with no international presence that focused mostly on smaller local type casinos. Also like the PT tavern model. Thought I missed the low in March though and was too late, oops. Definitely feel like it’s too late now.

Gden and acel prob best options, lots of consolidation in regional space. Maybe PENN - not exactly what you want as it’s bigger and “real” casinos, plus high valuation of barstool/thescore, but most of their rev is from locals/regional markets. If I were smart enough to know whether it’s too late etc, I would be a lot richer. But I mean absent sthg crazy I certainly wouldn’t say they’re at firesale prices now!

Wonder if Mirage is still in the Mlife system. It's the easiest MGM place to get in and out of and I want to do the status match thing with my Caesars card.

Since the new operator isn’t named and there was nothing in the news yesterday, I would be shocked if any deal has closed. It sound to me like MGM has decided to inform Mirage employees that the casino ops are on the market but not yet sold. As such, I expect they are still in Mlife

TLDR: I would guess yes.

There was a rumor that Seminole Tribe of Florida(Hard Rock) was buying it. Don't know if true, I guess we will see.

I have a 3 night/4 day stay booked for early May 2022, courtesy of MLife, so if they're opting out the rewards program, guess I'm back to Bellagio??

Mixed feelings about this one. Mirage might of been first casino I ever was inside soon after they opened. Was like 9 years old remember, thinking this is nice. Remember asking my dad why he wouldn’t play BJ there but the green chip game was too rich for him. No he saved his bankroll for Whiskey Pete’s and me and my brother where set loose in there arcade which was the scene of a child abduction only a few years later. Also remember the Bonnie and Clyde death car. Man don’t even think it was roped off, crazy.

Sorry for the derail.

That old poker room was classy. That and the sportsbook where great.

Yea, I had some good times at Mirage a long time ago. I remember seeing Sklansky and other playing the 40/80 game and fat ass Hamilton playing in another big game. I played 10/20 Limit there and remember the 6/12 limit game was regarded as the toughest limit game in the Las Vegas.

Also played craps with Maury Povich while seeing some super tall figures move across the casino. It was Jordan, Pippen and Rodman playing craps at another table.

Also played a great Superbowl promo in the poker room several years back, played like 8 hours straight and made like $400 in promo money, lost like $200 in the 1/2nl game, it was really a nit fest but was fun. Still netted $200.

And of course there is Vegas Vacation.
