Headed to Vegas for my little brother’s(Bachelor Bro) bachelor party. We have tickets to Exodus Labor Day Weekend and are staying at MGM Grand. Arriving Thursday 8/29 leaving Tuesday 9/3.

Bachelor Bro is a 28 y/o lawyer who still drinks pretty heavily(redundant?) Was in a frat and went out a lot in college. Pretty extroverted. Kind of dude who has been going to somebody’s wedding almost every weekend these days. There's 11 people on each side in the damn wedding lol. Gambles occasionally at local casino(mostly $1/$2), but has never been to Vegas. Marrying college sweetheart from 2nd or 3rd year of undergrad. She’s pretty chill and unlikely to interfere.

Hero(Bobbo) is a 30 y/o analyst from Atlanta who works at a large insurance company. Made a run at poker pro back in the day and lived in Vegas for a year. Used to have lots of gamble but on a fairly short roll(~$2000) this trip. Doesn’t drink as much as he used to but can still hang. Might be getting engaged/hitched/having kids sometime soon so it could be a bit of a last hurrah for him as well.

Youngest bro(YB).22 y/o living on West Coast. He’s a developer for a FAANG company. Has enough spare cash to speculate wildly on cryptocurrency and individual stocks on Robin Hood. He could surprise and turn out to be the biggest degen. Vegetarian so likely to get poor value on group meals and pitching in to cover Bachelor Bro. Likes to drink but might not be able to hang with this group full of degenerate law/finance/sales bros

BM- best man. Late 20s Bachelor Bro’s best friend from a childhood group of goofballs that got into small amounts of trouble but nothing too crazy. They went to high school and college together. Also a social/good dude that’s fun to go out with. Believe he’s in some type of sales at the company he works for. I once asked if he and Bachelor Bro were eskimo brothers and thought it was hilarious that they couldn’t remember for sure either way.

SSPS- late 20s. We were on the same sports team in HS and roommates for a bit.We went in on a house that didn’t end up filling and he kinda screwed me over on some rent money that I covered for the group. Think he sells solar panels now living in California somewhere. So Shady Solar Panel Salesman. He’s been to Vegas like 50 times to party, likely our best hookup for recreational enhancements. Likely to try to convince us to spew on bottle service. Not sure how much of a gambler he is.

Towel Whipper(TW)- late 20s Also in the childhood friend group. He has a 4-5 year old kid now and is a little more settled than he used to be. Has mentioned a serious gf(not baby mamma) who may be up his ass this weekend. I call him Towel Whipper based on a story from last year where he got ejected from a football game.

We got into a scuffle with this guy in line at an NFL game concession stand. He came at TW hard out of nowhere and I had his back until the concession stand manager broke it up. No blows thrown or anything. TW starts talking **** to him+ a group on the way back to our seats and two other guys start chasing us up there saying they’ll beat his/our ass in the parking lot and grabbing at him. We’re halfway up the stairs and he starts whipping this towel down at them and one of the security guards checking tickets gets caught in the crossfire. He’s pissed and eventually the security guard identifies him by tattoos and gets him ejected, not getting to enjoy much of the $13 liquor slushy we went for in the first place. Might have been a jersey actually but Towel Whipper sounds like a sweet alias to me

I’ll come out with nicknames for other characters as the trip goes on. I’ve met a few, most are from college/lawl school.

5 Club Appearances in 3 days is an aggressive schedule. Not sure I could hang with this crew anymore.

Bachelor Bro, Best Man, Towel Whipper and O’Mally started drinking at an airport bar a few hours ago.

O’Mally is another childhood friend of Bachelor Bro. That’s not his real name but he does have an Irish one. And the group kinda reminds me of the supporting friends from Good Will Hunting, sans annoying Boston accents.

I don’t know that I’ll be closing down the club(or getting kicked out) with the last of the group every time. YB will get drunk but might not be able to make it the distance either. One guy is married already, but that could be more motivation to go hard the few times he can.

I hope none of them are the pilot.

Probably the most chill night. Little in suite drinking. BB and TW got fisted at 6:5 blackjack that SSPS and I refused to play. Luck seems to be better at roulette

I'm putting forward a proposal for shoe picks and gratuitous starter pack image.

Arrived in McCarren a little ahead of schedule. Asked a pregnant cashier if I was allowed to drink a beer while waiting for my bag. She said she wasn't supposed to say it was ok anymore. I see my bag seconds after finishing it and jump in a cab to go check in.

Get my room and head to the suite where a lot of the guys are staying. Little in-room pregaming and meet some new characters. R&B are in from BB's law school. I don't know them too well yet but their names start with R&B and they will turn out to be roulette bros.

We hit the tables hopped up on Crown in red solo cups. BB and TW sit down to some $25 blackjack and lose pretty much every hand immediately. BB does hit a blackjack to find out it's 6:5. R&B seem to have better luck doing their thing, although most of those multi color chips are only $1? so who really knows.

You know that guy in bachelor party who busts his whole roll the first night? That was Bachelor Bro. A couple successful bets on 4 for Brett Favre can't overcome how cold red is for him. He even does the move at a blackjack table where he pockets the winnings, then slowly starts pulling them back out of his pocket until he quadruple checks that all the chips are gone. Luckily I find out he's got $2-$3k set aside and he's only down $600. Best Man jokes that we're supposed to be watching him so he doesn't lose too much and Chill Bachelorette(CB) doesn't get mad

YB, SSPS, and myself don't want to get in on this nonsense. SSPS asks about my job and tells me he is not solar panel salesman anymore. He says he does something about brokering financing between people who need and and people who have money. Says with my understanding of finance I'd be good at it. Maybe I should look into that" I think. Wait a minute, the number one rule of the trip is DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SHADY SOLAR PANEL SALESMAN. Or at least it's somewhere in the top 10.

YB and I get some mediocre Johnny Rockets. Considered Tofu Hut but didn't want to split from the group. At least it was quick and whatever impossible/veggie burger worked for him.

We do see Lil Jon walking through the casino with a couple security guards and a couple entourage looking guys. BB yells out something dumb and he raises his arm up in acknowledgement.

MGM is kinda dead so we head to NYNY. Their circle bar is much livlier. They have I think BB even picked a round up though he's stuck and it's his own damn bachelor party. What a good dude. I throw a $20 in 7:5 JoB and bink quads to cash out $140.
We meet the last dude to get in tonight. Didn’t get to talk to him much. He has what sounds like an Italian accent. He can’t be Furio because he doesn’t have long hair. I can’t think of an Italian character, but he does look like James Franco kinda. So I’ll call him James Franco Kinda(JFK)

Everyone kinda scatters at this point. YB and I find a $25 min double deck paying 3:2. I still remember how to play and other than a phone call a couple minutes after I sit don't seem to get any heat. I was flat bet here a few years ago. But I don't have the money to spread. My 2 2 unit bets both win, as do many of my others. I win ~$350. YB does a more successful pocketing of some winnings and is up also, despite only having a few green chips to color up.

You know the guy who passes out halfway through drunk food and wakes up to finish it a few hours later? That was Bobbo. I awake around 8:30 AM to a call from SPSS. I also have a text from him. It says "Where's Bachelor Bro?"

Head downstairs to hit Starbucks and see BM walking with R&B. “You have to get BB off the tables. He’s still gambling and none of us can talk any sense into him” How much would it suck if the bachelor is stuck a few K and bummed the entire trip? I head over to him but TW,SSPS and O’Mally are already sweating him at a blackjack table. I feel like another dude won’t help things at this point.

They get BB to the room and he is tanked. He claimed to be down only a few hundred, having won some back overnight. BM thinks he is FOS and stuck more. I got a couple phone calls from the handle of Fireball which I answered, and cracked a white claw or two from the sink. BB assumed passed out on the bed position. A guy named Sanchez shows up. That actually is his name, when you look like a Sanchez and are named Sanchez that has to be the moniker imo.

A group of us head to pick up wristbands and eat a slice of not great food court pizza. TW mentioned almost hooking up with a black girl, which he has never done. He seems to be the one who busted all the gambling money he brought(~$600). There’s another festival that seems to have the same kind of deal as ours but marketed to college students. So there should be a lot of younger girls around for those with Jeffrey Epstein tendencies.

A few of the guys head in to Wet Republic and a few wake up BB. It doesn’t seem like he’ll make the 2PM deadline to get in. YB and someone else eventually get him. When he finally does get there he seems to be loving it and does not want to leave. Couldn’t tell if anyone hooked up with a girl from the pool but with sexy mofos like JFK in the group we get the attention of some cuties. I buy my most expensive round I can remember at $104 for 8 bud lights in a bucket.

We hit a Mexican place at the food court. New people have shown up but I am pretty drunk to be remembering names or details to come up with nicknames at this point. MGM Grand seems to be WOAT strip hotel for food, but Mexican is always good after drinking. The carbs and sugary margarita make me sleepy. I change/pregame and meet a couple later arrivers but pass out like a dumbass and end up missing Omnia.

TW and SSPS went to meet some girls from the pool and a few other split off also. Only 5-6 ended up at Omnia. I ****ed up and was waiting in the regular line but also too late to get in with our wristband. It was not moving at all. YB got lost from the group and wasn’t really feeling it anymore so we went to gamble.

I remember Bally’s having a good double deck, but they’re all 6:5 now. What’s happening to this town? Cromwell had a $25 min 3:2 like we were playing yesterday, but we ran a bit colder. We both lost about what we won yesterday, up a little from our nadir on the session

Hit the Hash House for 4AM drunk food. Hash must be a good order at a place called Hash House. Definitely the best meal of the trip so far.



Now off to watch college football and figure out what the hell everyone got into last night.

Yep definitely put my suit on, shaved and went to the 7PM dinner not realizing it was actually already 2AM. Everybody was wearing suits when I came to so I figured we were on our way. The only filet I enjoyed this evening was an 8oz Double Quarter Pounder with Chz from Rick's. Phone still waterlogged from the pool. Lost $45 on the way back at the Sahara. The hangover guilt is strong. YB not in room.
