Hey!

We have finally booked the flight. We made some last minute changes and will now leave one day earlier. So will be landing in Vegas 9.Pm 25 of June.

So now we need to fix one more hotel night in Vegas. I have never stayed Downtown and might give it a chance. What are the best place on Freemont? A pool area is a must!
I am thinking about Golden Nugget. Any ideas?

I doubt it. Was there in February and was searching all over for a place that even showed the Carabao Cup Final with Arsenal vs Man City, and the Premiership is by far the biggest league popularity wise in the US.

Since games will be so early in the morning over here when live, it'll especially be weird for regular places to show games. I'm sure there will be sports books all over showing games though and you're more likely to find fellow football fans.

Have a good time during the 4th. It's generally a great holiday all over the country because the weather is usually always good everywhere and people are all drunk and having a good time outside in the sun.

If you are planing on staying DT you really only have 2 good options golden nugget or down town grand, both have great pools however if you do golden nugget book a day bed at the hideout you will have ur own waitress and it's 21 and over so you won't have to deal with all the kids at the shark tank pool. If you choose to do down town grand it's really a hidden gem lots of space to move around and you can get a cabana if you run a tab of 250$ which I recommend if you have mutupul people. If not there is plenty of seating and bar is very fast with drinks.

Will probably be watching most games from the Aria Sports book. Worked out great last time. Witch tv channel is broadcasting the WC in USA? Do you think it will be possible to watch from our room at Aria?

Fox Sports owns the rights starting this WC. Their pundits are the absolute worst of those offering soccer on TV in America. I have no idea if you will be able to watch matches from your room. The last 3 Cup's rights were owned by ESPN and while they were only marginally better than FOX, every match was televised either on ESPN or ESPN2, both commonly offered in basic cable packages. However, Fox Sports is not commonly offered in packages.

Another option for you is to wait until you are here and sign up for the Fox Soccer App. I assume they will offer every game there and it is free for the first 7 or 14 days, I don't remember. After its only ~$20 a month for every single match they have rights too. I don't see why they would do things any differently for the WC. Besides, since the US didn't make the Cup, Fox is already going to be fighting a huge uphill battle getting random viewers since there is little to no interest in rooting for the "home team" by casual fans. They paid a fortune for the rights from what I remember basically banking on the US guarantee of making it.

Hello,

Sorry for the days off but the jet lag really took me this time. Arrived late on Monday, checked in to Caesar Palace and just grabbed a pizza slice and beer at the food court.
Woke up early and waited until the pool area opens up.
Nice pools at Caesars!

Then off and checked in at Vdara and later on went down to Aria for some cash game. Unfortunately it was 36 ppl on wait list so headed over to Planet Hollywood to play there 7pm daily. But when we got there it was canceled. They probably didn't have enough tables to run it. Took some beers and went home. Spent most of yesterday at Freemont street for some downtown action. We all played some at the Golden Nugget but not much to report about.

Woke up early today as well. Went down to Aria at 6am and played some 1-3 Texas while watching the early soccer game. Lost one BI early and made another one but never manage to win it back. Went to Rio and registered for the Giant tomorrow at 7pm.
That pretty much summons the first days of the trip and will hopefully drink less beer and play more poker from now and will try to fix daily updates from now.

Seems to be something wrong with my tapatalk, it's crashes every time I try to add pics som imgur.

Will soon head of to Rio for the Giant event. Will try to make some updates during the event.

Why go to Aria for cash games when there are cash games at Caesars?

Great trip report. Charles XII would be proud. I took Sweden today with the 1/2 point to cover a draw.

Well It seems as my iPad doesn’t like me anymore. Hopefully I get it back with all my notes on during the trip. In other case I just will update a summary with all pictures!

Long times since last post. Last trip to Vegas was 2018 and next trip will probably be next year to celebrate Ronster01 50th birthday.

So i have i question fore you guys, would you like me and MrBicce to make daily post about our trip to The Swidish Poker Championship in Bratislava. Or is this thread only for Las Vegas trips?

Thanks for the positive comments about posting updates from our trip to The Swedish Championship

Our flight leaves Oslo on Wednesday 17 at noon to Vienna. About 2,5h flight and then Taxi 45min to Bratislava. We have booked four nights on Marriott which is located just across the street from Blanco Casino. Don’t have big plans for Wednesday night so will probably drink a lot of cheap beer and cocktails while playing casino games and cash game. We have qualified to play Main Event on Thursday Day 1b so hopefully at least one of us will make it to day 2. Otherwise there will run side event each day and a Team event on Saturday that we have decided to play.

Can understand that it might seems strange to have The Swedish championship of poker in Bratislava but it is not allowed to arrange big poker tournaments in Sweden unless it’s arranged by the government on there casinos.
