Had another great day of poker yesterday. Went to Caesar's palace and started out down 100, so I had to buy in for 400 in total. Pretty soon after that I was up to 640, because of some simple run good. Hit trips K on a AKJ board, made some good plays, had some easy value hands and was dominating the whole table. I was feeling really well and when the announcement came that the 2-5 table was starting, I figured I might as well try it for once. My first experience at a 2-5 game with a bankroll of 6K. Not the best bankroll management, but i was in for 1 shot. I sat down with my 640 stack and got QQ in the SB in the 2nd hand of playing. The UTG limped and the UTG+1(has me covered) aggressive player isolated to 20. It folds to me and I make it 70. The BB(around 400 stack) coldcalls and the UTG folds while the UTG+1 completes. Flop is 348ss with no Qs in my hand. I did play with the UTG+1 some time before and I had a read he likes to bet when the preflop aggressor checks to him. So I decided to go for a checkraise. I check and the BB checks. The UTG+1 does bet, but it's a very small one. He makes it 60 in a 210 pot. I raise to 200 and the BB snapjams all in for 330. The UTG+1 tankfolds and I make the call. The BB shows ATs for nutflushdraw and an overcard. Board bricks out and I scoop a pot worth 15% of my net worth. Got to love taking shots. I continue playing and make some good plays running up to 1400 dollar stack. Then the next interesting hand occurs. I have 67s in the UTG+1 and I decide to open it up to 20. A loose CO calls and the BTN good TAG player calls as well. The flop comes 34Qss. I bet 40 and the BTN makes the call. The turn brings the flush with a T. Since I am kinda underrolled for this game and I suppose the BTN will play back at me a lot of times i decide to take the low variance route and decide to checkcall(maybe giving him a shot at a free card, but also giving him the opportunity to bet a worse hand there. He decides to make a 120 bet and I make the call. The river is another 4 and I decide to go for the checkcall again. He bets out 200 and I make the call. Unfortunately the BTN shows 33 for a rivered full house and he takes it down. After that one I feel less comfortable at the table and that can't be good for my game. I decide to rack up my chips for a nice 500$ profit in less then an hour. It was a nice experience and I will take some more shots if I get in a good session at a 1-2 or 1-3 table later on. I played some more 1-2 after that and I got up to another 400$ profit session until a big pot comes in. I was at a drinking table with only guys that were having a good time. 2 of my friends from the Netherlands and some decent other players. Not the best +EV table out there, but it was a hell lot of fun. Everybody was tipping the dealer by trying to throw chips in his pocket. Side bets were made if throws would get in or not and big pots had people in the mood of giving very big tips to the dealers. 50% of a 100$ pot was tipped as well as 10% of a 600$ pot. The dealers were loving it as well as the players. I hold AKo UTG+1 and I bet 15 to iso the UTG limper that was a decent player. I was very aggressive up until that point and had a very low credibility. The BTN good aggressive player, the good playing SB and the UTG all make the call . The flop is A76ss(none of my suit) and I make a 40$ cbet. The BTN raises to 100$ and everybody folds to me. I make the call and the turn brings another A. I check and the BTN bets another 100$ stating he was fine to take the pot down now. He hasn't been lying the whole night and since my hand is really good I make the call. The river is an offsuit 5 and I check. The BTN bets 200 and I reluctantly make the call since he could bet his missed flushdraw, a worse A and some air as well. Unfortunately he shows 66 for a turned full house and I lose the 860 dollar pot. I decide to leave the table going down around 40$ in that session since I've already had some drinks and I wasn't feeling sober anymore. My friends didn't want to leave, so I sat down at the bar and had a little chat with some waitresses. After some hours of conversation I feel sobered up again and I decide to join the table once again. It's 6am at that point and I heard the table was pretty good. I sit down with a 300$ stack and in 2 hours I manage to stack another player with JJ vs AKo on KJ8ss and take down some other pots as well. The game actually was the best 1-2 game I ever sat at, Since my drunken friends are a decent 15$ spin & go reg and a high stakes online heads up player. The rest of the table were all regs as well that thought we were bad players since we were drinking and shouting. There were 2 girls watching the table and touching me all the time that were most certainly some hookers that wanted to rip me off since they were talking about going home with me without any chatter in advance. I took off with a 350$ profit for a daily win of 1000$. Had a wonderful time and a great experience being in Vegas with some of my friends from home. I really cherish these moments and I feel lucky to experience these moments. I went home to my new apartment near the topgolf where I slept some hours in the afternoon. After a quick rest and some wandering around the strip I'm currently playing 1-3 in the Bellagio. I've added some pictures as well(don't mind the texts in it, it's just some dutch added for snapchat. Will be posting English texts from now on)
