Just managed to get some sleep. Feel kinda bad for wasting the morning but it was needed.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. I have no idea what's in store for today but I did mention about going to the mob museum so maybe she took the hint.

Been nearly 10 years but they use to have people out front during the day handing out 20% off tickets.

Wow what an amazing day I have had.

Started off waking up at 4am because of damn jet lag again. Decided to go for a bit of a walk to see if I could get myself tired again. This time in the morning is grim. If it's not hookers walking around its gamblers trying to chase losses.

I walked past the poker room at Ceasers and was pretty tempted. Decided against it as I am never going to play my best the way I felt. Had to keep reminding myself this trip is for fun not to get stressed over playing bad cards out of position.

My phone died again as my usb charge points in my room were faulty and despite raising a maintenance request the day before it has not been fixed (onto that later).

Finally get back to my room and actually pass right out until nearly 11am. It made me feel kinda crappy as I have missed most of the morning. We decide to get ourselves out and I needed to speak to reception regarding the charge situation. She told me she would get maintenance on it right away. Does not sound a bit thing but I had family wanting to call me and I did not really want to chat to my kids while sat on a slot charging.

Decide to get some breakfast at Denny's. A massive step down from the morning before but I was not feeling like a buffet breakfast. Went for the strawberry and banana pancakes.



They were ok. Nothing to rush back for though.

Quickly headed back to see if they had fixed the charge point and it was not done. I was pretty annoyed at this point and they promised again to fix it asap and gave me $50 food and beverage voucher. Ok not too bad but it's still not fixing it asap. Rushed downstairs and charged my phone up to take a few calls from people wishing me happy birthday.

We had a table booked at Mon Ami which I was looking forward to as I always have great meals here. So I decided to go and take a look at a few art galleries. Managed to take a picture of a piece I liked before I got told off for taking pictures.



Back at Caesars and they had informed me they were moving us because the issue could not be fixed. The room itself has a better view of the fountains so it's winner winner for us.



After a quick wash I was ready to go and eat. 22oz rib eye with what was a mountain of fries which I just could not eat. Service was great and the steak tasted amazing. Not much more I can say about this place apart from visit when in Vegas. Yes it's a little overpriced but what better way to look at the fountains while stuffing your face.



Next in the list of things to do today was Absinthe! Wife had booked front row tickets which I soon learnt when I got there that this was a hilarious idea as I had all the roasting from the host. Was taken all in good spirits and the actual show was amazing. A real must when out here.





It's now just gone 3am and I finished a poker session which was completely and utterly uneventful. I was running like a 1 legged hamster and not even a greyhound helped. To say I took a $50 loss as a win shows how bad it was. Had an amazing time playing and there were plenty of people to talk to at the table all having a good time. Just cards were crap and one guy was a complete crc. Every pair hit a set and got paid etc etc.





Excuse the subpar write up today. This is the last thing I am doing before bed and I am shattered from the day.

Oh and while writing this at the bar I was propositioned by yet another hooker. This one was actually really hot. Might be a bit awkward though if I took her to our room.

Sorry I missed this post by a long shot as you are probably near the end ..

But anytime you want to do non-gambling type of stuff in Vegas I recommend using City Pass. There are a lot of the 'side' activities involved and the more you commit to the bigger the discount you get on them. It's like a punch ticket of sorts for various activities and you can get them for a large discount.

City Pass is available in a lot of the large US cities .. if not this trip, maybe for future trips. GL

Time for breakfast now and a day of who knows what. I have zero plans which is good as I am shattered from this trip. Moreso than when I come here to just play poker only.

We may do the heart attack grill. I know I have heard tons of bad reviews on the food but back at home it feels like it's a place you have to visit for the lolz.

A little over halfway through the day update.

My sleep schedule is just all over the place. I am getting no more than 4 hours sleep but still functioning and managing to walk over 25,000 steps each day. In no way am I going to be able to keep this pace up. Thursday is my final day here and we have arranged a late check out as my flight is not till 9pm local time. The plan that day will be to just relax in the room and probably play poker until I have to go. Oh woe is me I am sure you are thinking!

Anyway spent most of the morning walking around the arts District. It's a pretty cool area of Vegas and I like all the bars and micro breweries there. At night I am not sure I would feel too safe walking around but that might just be me. Shout out to the guy who dresses like Hugh Hefner and waves at everyone from his balcony. Vegas locals might know who he is.

The original plan for the day was to go and visit the mob museum but when we got there I was just too hungry and wanted to sit down. We had skipped breakfast and it was approaching nearly 2pm.

Lunch was the heart attack grill. I know this place has a bad rep but it was kind of a bucket list thing to tick off. For those who don't know it's a hospital themed restaurant where you eat for free if over 350lbs and you have to wear hospital gowns. One guy got brought up to the stage as we sat down and was weighed as he was 365lbs and therefore got his meal paid for. I am not the lightest of people but certainly no where near that mark!

Now I ordered the double burger and my wife the single. We shared a portion of fries and I will be honest the fries were terrible. They cook them in lard and it just left a horrible taste in my mouth so I covered them in ketchup to mask the taste. The burger on the other hand was ok. Nothing to rush home and tell everyone about but it was not terrible. The chilli on the burger was good and the burger itself was well cooked and to my liking.



We did catch one guy not eat his meal and he got a hell of a spanking for it. You will see in the ladies eye how much force she put into that swing. Tiger Woods would be proud of a swing like that!



Another plus was that I thought our waitress was hot. I know it's a trip with my wife but we can all appreciate a good looking member of the opposite sex right? Even took a sly picture



After the meal we hopped back on the open top bus and spend a bit of time getting some bits for the kids back at home. I felt a bit guilty leaving them with the grandparents while we go off and have fun but it's super important to have some time without them. Anyway the guilt made me buy crap for them which they will love so they end up winning.

Wife wanted some ice cream today. Not sure why as it's freezing in Vegas this time of year. We popped over to the Bellagio for this monstrosity. Far too much and I could not eat it.



Later this evening we have a reservation at Gordon Ramsey's Pub thing to burn through this $50 food and beverage credit we have and then I will most likely end up playing some poker and taking pictures of hookers for you all to enjoy.

Nice report. My buddy did the spanking once and he was bruised badly from his lower back down to his hammys. It was bad and hilarious.

Well that session ended like an utter car crash!

A little (alot) tipsy I am on around $750. I decide to rack up and stay until I finish my drink.

While racking up I look down at AKss on the button. Asian guy UTG+1 raises to 12. I 3 bet to 45 and the SB puts it in for 100. Asian guy calls and I am not flatting here ever in a million years so just fist pump shove. Asian guy tanks for 2 mins and makes the call for his $350 stack.

Board whiffs and I said your pair wins. To which he proudly shows me QQ.

The very next hand I am dealt AK again. Asian guy raises to $10 guy to my right flats and I 3 bet to $65.

Only the guy to my right calls. We see a flop of KKT two hearts. He donk leads for $100 so again I just shove on him and get the speech oh damn well I have to call. Leaves me with $57 left.

I show my AK after the board runs out and get shown KT.

FML.

Had a tilt session on BJ which turned into being $200 up so not too bad until I realised this morning I have lost my Google Pixel buds. Case and everything. Sigh!!!

So I have to retrace my steps today before my flight and see if I can get them back.

I have a question about the greyhounds. I do not like gin, so I get vodka greyhounds. Is this acceptable? My trip in June I made a ton of money, but my trip in September, I lost money. Am I pissing off the gods?

You might be onto something here. My last greyhound was vodka because we had a change in valet. Did I piss off the gods?
