Just noticed these tables in the Venetian.

When did this become a thing?

About 15 months ago. There's also one at Palazzo.

not surprising
6:5 bj
obscene resort fees
pay for parking
this fits right in

Shouldn't this be illegal? I know for slots they have laws that say they have to pay out over a certain % shouldn't there be something similar for table games?

Funny thing is they have double zero games next to the cripple zero and there are people surrounding the tripple 0 game putting money all over the green numbers.

Also as it doesn't say 000 instead showing an S you may not even realise it's a number. I just happened to see the extra slot on the wheel before laying some cash down.

You clearly are not understanding the unending philanthropic dedication of the strip casino to "enhance" the customer experience.

Wait wouldn't adding another green space increase the odds for the green spaces? Unless they decrease the payout from whatever it is on double (37 to 1?)

Yup, like they "enhanced" the resort experience a few years ago, then later "enhanced" the parking experience. Soon they'll "enhance" the dumping experience.

No. It's same 35:1 odds as on double zero and single zero tables

if idiots don't have an issue with playing games completely stacked against them and losing, then LV casinos will continue offer such games. LV experience enhanced!

wouldn't be surprised to see u have to pay a commission on a blackjack winning hand a la pai gow in the near future.

People travel thousands of miles just to give their already parasited hard earned money to degenerate scam corporations that offer nothing productive. They deserve to be homeless wager at these games

His wording is purposefully offensive / trollish but it’s hard to argue with his point that there’s no reason to feel bad for those people. Everybody makes their own decision to let casinos rip them off and it’s not like losing a couple bucks more makes a real difference in the grand scheme of things/rip-offs.

I feel bad for people that struggle with higher costs of living but certainly not for anybody degening their money away in Vegas.

And I've seen players betting hundreds a hand on a $10-minimum 6-5 blackjack table when the next table over was a $25-minimum 3-2 table. If people don't notice or care, I can't blame the casinos; all I can do is just stop playing when I visit.

What do they pay as straights? The same 35 as 0 and 00. You can bet all three zeros and get 11. Of course, it only happens every 13 times, but that's how they built the place.

The 000 house edge for the typical bets is 7.68%. Double zero is 5.26%, while single zero is 2.7%. The MGM high limit games with la partage offer 1.35% edge on even money bets.

If you're not counting cards, you will lose less money per unit time playing 6:5 at $10/hand (especially at a crowded table where hands/hr is lower) than you will at a 3:2 $25/hand table.

This has nothing to do with roulette (since spins/hr is constant) but highlights a very common blind spot, which is that WR is not the same as EV.

in most places this isn't true. the house edge under most rules conditions is 400 pct higher in 6:5 bj than it is in 3:2 bj if playing basic strategy.

I don't play roulette, but I don't like this because one has to wonder how much is enough? The casinos are already wildly profitable without this move, or the parking fees, or the reduced alcohol, etc....

I work for a company that is pinching every penny out of every possible point of efficiency they can and while I understand it, I do wonder how much is enough?

Another 2% on roulette isn't going to make or break anyone, neither the casino's bottom line or the players, but why not find a way to make the casino experience better for the customer and maybe they spend more money that way?

This message could apply to anyone in business, improve your product and attract business that way. Taking your existing product and making it worse for your customer while better for you isn't a long term strategy that has ever worked.
