Greetings Friends.

I've been jonesing hard for Vegas. I know it's a month out. I'm hoping that writing into the abyss is cathartic.

Anyways, on March 16, Ethan and I are flying from New Haven (via Philly). Andrew is flying from Kalamazoo (via Chicago). And, god willing, AG$ is driving from Phoenix (via whatever is between Phoenix and Vegas, I dunno, Kingman Arizona or something).

We've got two full days of March Madness, one day of CBI quarterfinals, and three full days of NBA action. We'll probably bet every game. So here's to running hot.

Because of March Madness, the strip and downtown were prohibitively expensive--we're not the type of fellas to be spending $150 to stay at Ellis Island or whatever. But not to worry, this means we get to check out a whole new part of Vegas: Boulder Highway!

On Friday and Saturday nights, we'll be at Arizona Charlie's Boulder for $48/night. We should arrive in time to catch the 1am bingo. It looks like there are some awesome spots nearby. I heard there's some sort of animatronic adventure at Sam's town, and $2 single deck at Longhorn (this can't be real?). Gonna be dope.

On Sunday and Monday nights we're going to the classiest Hotel yet, Main Street Station! I got a promotional mailer for $35/night, which seems a solid deal. Plus they've got really good/cheap beers; also, pai gow. We'll hit up all the downtown places and probably Frankies tiki room. May take a run up to jerry's nugget as well. I'll tell y'all all about it.

Just getting myself amped. Feel free to follow along or not. That was cathartic.

Ethan and I are hitting up the airport chili's. And by that I mean the Chili's in East Haven that's like a 20min walk from the airport. Tweed is the best.

Today is the big day. On your way to Vegas, bubbling over with excitement.

IF you like Hawaiian BBQ, go to Aloha Specialities in The Cal while at Main Street Station. Damn that was good food. Maybe just because you can't get Hawaiian BBQ worth a **** in Idaho, I don't know. But it's become a staple for the wife and I when downtown.

Tweed is the best. Nothing like a 20min walk from Chili's and a 45sec wait in security. And don't be fooled by the pretense of "2" gates; they're really just different paths to and from the same plane.

Funny story.

So I'm sitting in the sports book. And Ethan goes to cash the Everton ticket. And this dude sits next to me.

He starts giving me this speech about how he's got something that a pawn shop will only give him 10-15 dollars for. So I assume he's gonna try and sell me a watch or something.

Nope. He pulls out this big ass dagger from the pocket of his hoodie. Probably like an 8inch blade in a sheath.

I didn't buy it.

Had the $4.99 burger. It was decent. The fries are super undercooked. Wouldn't recommend.

Gonna go check out longhorn casino. $2singledeck here I come.

Bet Kentucky, Tennessee and Kansas all to cover. Also, parlayed the three. It's for a lot (for me at least).
