Re: Trip reports kind of slow
Sorry about not finishing this last trip up, it is a lot harder to do the live report when with others, that is for sure.
Some final thoughts. Never stayed at the Linq before but I liked it there and the group liked. For those not gambling, they could wander and drink in a lot of different bars and properties. Lots of food options in the area and O'Sheas is a lot of fun. I personally will still stay at Planet Hollywood when solo as it is much closer to Bellagio and Aria poker rooms
Ended up down $491 on the poker, lost another $600 on BlackJack and spent a lot on beer and entertainment for the boys. Over all a good trip, the younger group was pretty tame, really too tame, even for me, just did not want to tear it up even one night. I got pretty drunk the night downtown and they all liked being down there that night.

Yea, they do still have the row of original coin machines, you know where you actually have to worry what is on your hands after playing. I brought them to circus because when I lived there that was the area where it was most happening with Riviera, Stardust, Frontier, that area was "the Strip." When people came to visit us that is where we ended up most of the time.

Re: Trip reports kind of slow
My wife is actually planning a winter trip to Vegas for us and the kids. Son and his wife are 30ish, daughter and her man are 24ish. Looking at Dec 22 to 26, Linq was booked but I wanted Planet Hollywood so that is where we will stay. Planning a couple o shows, like Cirque O and maybe Absinthe at Caesars or Penn & Teller. Will certainly do Top Golf as that was great, and believe it or not, the Strat was awesome for the cost of an Uber, will do that again with this group. looking for ward to this trip, not much poker but a good time with the fam. I imagine poker will be a bit slower anyway that week.

Re: Trip reports kind of slow
Just over a day from the start of the next adventure. Leaving my place around 4pm Sunday to go eat close to airport and have a couple beers at a local micro brewery Called Ale Asylum with Son and DIL. This is going to be a family trip with some tame drinking and having fun, worried about the pokerz during the week of Christmas but I will make due with what I get.
Son, Daughter in Law, wife are all on same flight to LAS. Daughter is flying direct from Boston (Spirit, 5.5 to 6 hour flight that should be a lot of fun for her). Daughter just got engaged to one of them men things, he is actually on a trip with his family and flying from the Bahama's area to Vegas same night. Daughter could not go with the mans family as she does not have any vacation after starting a teaching job this year in Boston.
I have lots of tourist stuff planned and will take you all along. Staying at Planet Hollywood.
Like last year in December seems "trip reports kind of slow" so hopefully this will get your Vegas on prior to New Years.

Welcome golddog and Az, should be a good ride from an OMC point of view and while trying to entertain some 20 year olds.

Re: Trip reports kind of slow

The normal roll. $3k even. Wife is along and gets an allowance but she is not really in to gambolz so she will pay for a lot of the beer, drinks and food. She will do some slots but like $20 here and there. I am at 8,047 tier credits with Caesars and had hopes of getting to Diamond. But since we check out on the 26th pretty sure the 4K plus TC won’t post this year. With them I think I could have made it to Diamond since all the fam will be using my card while on the slots. Oh well good start to next year. I am going to talk with the desk and others to see if they can help get me to Diamond if I have the points.

Re: Trip reports kind of slow
Plans for this trip: Sunday night, told the DIL that I would do shots if she found Ghost Donkey speak easy bar. That should be an easy one for her to get me drinking tonight. I don’t do liquor very often and won’t do more than one or two shots, only a beer guy. Monday is Top Golf and then the Vegas Knight hockey game. Tuesday getting a car to hit downtown and drive by our old apartments and house, maybe something like Ricks Restoration, Kouts Kars it Gold and Solilver Pawn. Hit the Strat observation deck after dark then Circus Circus on the way back to strip. Wife actually does want to hit the real coin slots like the old days where u got your hands dirty! X-Mas night we are hitting Absyinth show. At some point I want to hit Ellis Island

Aha, I knew there was something I liked about you!
Plus going to a local brewer, good move. Minus one point for Frontier though.
Go go go, have great fun.
